The Mavericks beat the Kings on Thursday night despite Dirk Nowitzki struggling to hit just 7 of 21 shots. Dirk’s rust and the Kings players weren’t the only ones slowing down Dirk though – during a late review, a Sacramento Kings security guard was faced with the task of keeping Dirk away from the referees who were looking at a monitor. The security guard did an admirable job, sliding his feet and staying between his man and the… television. Dirk even threw in some fakes, but the guard would not be shook. Dirk had fun, the guard had fun and the announcers loved it. Its good to have Dirk back. And hopefully the Kings bring their best defender with them to Seattle.
