N.C. State upset undefeated No. 1 Duke. The N.C. State Student Body President rushed the court, pushing another fan in a wheelchair. Not a wise decision, as the fan in the wheelchair apparently was knocked over by the mob of fans.

Not even remotely an upset but I wish there were an aftershot akin to Kevin Bacon in Animal House.

Seems like a friendly crowd.

I got picked up by a retired stripper at a hockey game at that arena once.

What was the spread for this game? No Kelly, Curry injury, away to a ranked team. Is this really a worthy upset? Not to mention Duke has Plumlee and nothing else in the frontcourt from what I’ve seen. Not a very impressive squad.

Looks like Cowboy Mike answered my question while I was typing it.

Duke was actually a 3.5 point favorite but shouldn’t have been without Kelly. But no, it’s not an upset at all.
They actually are pretty impressive when they’re healthy. But, sadly, at this point if Kelly is Kyrie’d and Curry blew something, they won’t win a game in March.

I saw NC State play Uconn. They have good enough players to get the occasional big win. Brown can feast on tiny guards like Uconn has, Wood is the typical Indiana white guy shooter, Howell is a solid college center, and Leslie has the talent to be impactful from time to time. No legitimate NBA talent though.

State actually has a shitload of talent, some incredible recruiting classes the last three years (and next year). Should waltz to the conference title with Duke’s injuries.
And won’t even have to rely on their coach dying to have his NCAA violations forgotten.

Haven’t seen enough of the freshmen to comment. Never been impressed by any of the upperclassmen as far as NBA potential goes. Brown and Leslie could make rosters, but cracking rotations anytime soon seems a stretch.

Somehow Uconn-ND didn’t get mentioned in the preview post. Not a bad game at all though.

I sound like a crocthety old ass man but I despise the whole court/field storming thing. It’s so stupid. The worst part about going to college was the whole student sport fan/obsession crap. The dumb signs, shirtless bros, body painting, sleeping in tents for tickets, etc.
College age bros are the worst people ever.
