No emotional connection to any of the characters, and the dialogue at time is absolutely laughable. This should have been so much better.

Saw it this afternoon. I agree, it was not as emotionally engaging as I thought it would be but still a very good, very well done movie. Best part is the SEAL raid on the Bin Laden compound. Was the best part for what it wasn’t….no Navy SEAL with a machine gun in each hand, getting shot ten times and still going, whispering “take care of my family” to his comrades as he falls. Was very quiet (no background music), methodical and professional…as I imagine it is in real life when these bad asses show up at your door.

Luckily my area was one of the advanced viewing areas so I got to see it last Friday night. I agree with it feeling like two things combined into one movie, but I also enjoyed it anyway. It showed a lot of the political and cya stuff that goes on which really lengthens the time it takes to get things done. The actual takedown filming was well shot too.

This is posted too late in the day. The movie felt disconnected from the audience. It was like a L&O episode, you didn’t really care about any of the characters but in it’s execution it gets a B+
