When he got to the NFL and saw his fate was in the hands of Gus Frerotte and Joey Harrington and he got out as soon as he could.

i think it’s more of the fact that you can’t be a royal dick to professionals in the NFL like you can to young guys in college.

Some truth to this, but Harbaugh has laid out a nice blueprint for success despite qb mediocrity. I think Saban would still be a good pro coach if he could maintain a mellower approach to dealing with people. The question is whether a cyborg would be capable of doing so

Plenty of players in CA, especially considering the lack of legitimate recruiting competition. Yet, SC has still snagged a number of top defensive players from the south.

Aside from ‘Bama, none of the mentioned programs have performed on SC’s level. But I suppose having Bryant and Saban coaching the team will do that
