Kansas’ Ben McLemore Banked In His 5th 3-Pointer of the Night to Force Overtime Against Iowa State [Video]

Ben McLemore was on fire tonight at Allen Fieldhouse. It’s a good thing he was, otherwise #6 Kansas probably would have lost at home to unranked Iowa State. McLemore scored a career-high 33 points and went 10-of-12 from the field, including a perfect 6-6 from 3-point land. None of those shots were more important than his 5th three-pointer, which tied the game at 79 with a :01 remaining in regulation. Kansas never looked back in overtime and won 97-89.

I wanted to watch but it was blacked out on espn3 (I don’t have cable). Espn is being stingier with their online stuff. Definitely missed a good one but wasn’t surprised it was close, ku always seems to let them hang around and shoot 3s at least once each season

I was watching. (Granted, I forgot they even played tonight.) Love McLemore but he wasn’t even the best player in the state of KS tonight. Cleanthony Early for Wichita State. This team is legit. Much better than last year’s team. Sweet 16 is a lock. Mark it down.

Playing a good team as an underdog I would always foul in that spot. If I was playing a team I was better than I would play it out and let my talent play defense. Hate that Iowa State played it out.
