Queefer, you’re changing the goalposts. You first argued that Saban wasn’t a great coach. Now you seem to be conceding the great coach argument and saying he’s not a legedary coach.

The fact that the media fucked up and didn’t do it’s job doesn’t make the sports regular season less important. It makes the media bad at its job.

WHile I think OKST should have been the choice, the fact that a choice had to be made actually gave the regular season MORE credence. Every game should have been looked at thoroughly. My problem is that I don’t think that happened.

If you strip the names on the jerseys, ignore conference and history, and just examine the resumes, OKST was the clear choice. Frankly, I really would have liked to see a great offense like that take on LSU’s great defense.

They all lost, which meant you had several teams at 11-1. That meant you had to look at several things to determine who moved on. Nah, seriously, college football likes to hold itself up as the lone sport where the regular season matters. Until it doesn’t, at all.

That was my whole problem with the rematch, regardless of who was involved. Alabama had their chance to win the division, conference and national title appearance, and they lost. And there was no consequences for that loss. Again, I understand if no one agrees with me here.
