Notre Dame: Irish Guard Member Wore Nothing Under His Kilt During BCS Title Game
All, Clean Slate, College Football January 8th. 2013, 3:25pm
The Sun published this picture from the BCS Title Game. A member of Notre Dame’s Irish Guard got caught by a rogue gust of wind. Apparently, the rumors are true. At least this wasn’t as embarrassing as Notre Dame’s performance.
The male form: built for utility.

ESPN didn’t do anything about SAS saying “nigga” and left Rob Parker dangle for months before “letting his contract expire,” yet they just apologized for Musberger talking about McCarron’s slampiece.

Those aren’t rumors.

People are way too sensitive about the Musberger situation. He was just trying to have a light-hearted conversation. I didn’t think he was being inappropriate.
January 8th, 2013 at 3:45 PM
/sorry, had to bring this full circle back to coop

Jerk.

I didn’t watch the second half so I’m not sure what the Musberger situation is but I assume it has something to do with wanting to give McCarron’s girlfriend all the Tostitos.

Blame the camera operator for constantly showing that broad and Notre Dame for getting blown out.

Exactly. If Fox broadcast the game the second half would have been filled with a series of 10-15 second long shots of each band.

Golfed St. Andrews while I was there. Before it became a bit commercialized.

Wrong bowl game…he said he wanted to go Oranges deep.

Try to hit one out of that one bunker for shits and grins or do they frown on people doing that?
January 8th, 2013 at 4:09 PM
Probably can get away with it. I only lived about 45 minutes from there so we’d go to the town on occasion to drink. One time locals were just using the course like a park. No golfers, just people walking around or throwing frisbees. Dog shitting in the 18th fairway.

Every Sunday it opens up as a public park.
BTW, add to your book list Final Rounds by James Dodson.

JESUS CHRIST MAN, that’s awesome.
oh yea, ive heard people will just walk right thru a foursome with their pooches too.

No it’d been on the producer. He will tell what each cameraman to have ready. They had her seat # (likely provided by the bowl people themselves) before the game and had it all dialed in. This is standard op. I’ve worked as a camera man and been told to find prettier women for them.

or…what scripty said, lol.
/sorry, hadnt refreshed for a few mins

The courses are owned by the people of St. Andrews. There are a # of them (6?). However, they lease operational rights to a group for maximum money. There are quarrels about how many rounds the groups get vs. allotted to locals in a raffle. Less and less over time.

Carnoustie is ahead of the Old Course on my want-to-play list. I figure I’d be sufficiently shitfaced by the time I van de Velde’d the 18th, thus I wouldn’t be too angry
January 8th, 2013 at 4:23 PM
in terms of design and difficulty, agreed completely on carnoustie. but the old course is pure fun.
the courses id kill babies to play, in order…oakmont, augusta, pine valley, old course, carnoustie, the US and GB muirfields and monterrey CC.
January 8th, 2013 at 4:26 PM
My list
1. Augusta
2. Carnoustie
3. Old Course
4. Pebble
5. Olympic
6. Oakmont
7. Pine Valley
No real science involved, just a visceral liking
January 8th, 2013 at 4:30 PM
If you remove the “historical significance” factor, and focused just on the course itself, St. Andrew’s wouldn’t make my top 10 of courses I’ve played in my life. This was my favorite over there.
January 8th, 2013 at 4:30 PM
our lists are remarkably similar.
while normally id take this moment to applaud your fine, fine taste, instead im just gonna question why you’d want to play at olympic when all your good shots wouldnt be rewarded?
January 8th, 2013 at 4:31 PM
aw yea…short and sweet. pure fun.
January 8th, 2013 at 4:31 PM
Spence- what’s the best course you’ve played?
I haven’t played any top courses yet. Best courses are some country clubs in CT and NJ and Lake of Isles at Foxwoods. May finally make the trip to Bethpage this summer though
January 8th, 2013 at 4:33 PM
most famous – plantation course at kapalua
best – canterbury CC in cleveland
you?
/leaving the office, will check after getting bonged at home
January 8th, 2013 at 4:34 PM
sctrojans…we got some DAMN fine golf here in cleveland, believe it or not. i play a number of courses between $30-50 that are in great shape, a great test of golf and differently designed. if youre ever in the area with your clubs (slim chance i know), lemme know and if i dont meet up, i’ll be able to give you some good rec’s.
January 8th, 2013 at 4:36 PM
I’m a sucker for the Bay Area and a glutton for punishment. Great looking course and I want to see what all the pro’s whining about impossible shotmaking is about. Possible Johnny Miller bias too
Such a classic US Open course too IMO, with the tiny, uneven fairways
January 8th, 2013 at 4:37 PM
Not too short when you factor in the winds from the North Sea.
January 8th, 2013 at 4:51 PM
Canoe Brook CC in NJ
In CT, Ellington Ridge CC, Wethersfield CC (sight of GHO/Traveler’s before moving to TPC), Hartford GC
Expensive CT publics: Lake of Isles, Blue Fox Run, Wintonbury Hills, Crumpin-Fox (in Mass)
Reasonably priced local publics: Tower Ridge, Oak Ridge, Topstone, Tallwood, Gillette Ridge
January 8th, 2013 at 4:52 PM
what about sugar tits?
January 8th, 2013 at 5:06 PM
ah, did not even consider that. great point, esp after seeing the tour pros hitting 220 yard drives at kapalua this week.
sctrojans…sounds like you been to some swanky joints. pretty jealous youve been able to get on that many CC’s…tho my new boss loves me and will be getting me in a few places next summer for sure.
GOD DAMN I LOVE GOLF.
