Wow Ty – guess you’ve stirred up a lot of public interest from the total fan base from the USA – have never seen 251 comments to a Probably top 20 for 2013 – much needs to be adjusted by you as some of these are ‘way out there in left field’ Well count me in as I’m now #252 on your list:
#3 – Stanford? what are you smoking? Just because they ended up @ #7 AP ranking – was mainly due to their last 5 games. Don’t forget they lost to ‘dum-dum’ Notre Dame in O/T & loser – Washington and barely got by unranked Wisconsin by 6 points – I’d move them to #10 as the little offensive power they had – is gone – No more Stephan Taylor. Knock this team down to at least #8 or #9
#5 & #6 – Oklahoma & LSU – No Landry Jones for Oklahoma (need help) & half of LSU’s team went to NFL – I’d bump these both down at least 5 notches.
#7 Florida – they showed what they’re made of in the Sugar bowl game/lost their dominance completely. Knock them down 3-4 notches
#8 OK State – Where did they come from? An (8) win team doesn’t translate to #8 best? Try again Ty – double their # & make them a realistic #16
#10 – Texas A&M – guess this team will be a one-man band for awhile – (just like KSU had in 2012 w/Klein) bump them to #5 – BTW – didn’t they murder your #5 team (Oklahoma) in the Cotton bowl?
#11 – Wisconsin? Are you smoking again? Didn’t this team have an 8-6 record, unranked (maybe Top 50), lost their one-man band – Montee Ball, and you’ve got them at #11? How about rounding out the Top 20 with them?
#12 – Notre Dame? I think you’re being generous – maybe pampering their wounds from the NCG – best I could see them would be @ #15 if they could beat all (7) of those cupcakes again by 3 points.
#13 – Boise State – This one is a joke! You’ve got these guys ahead of both Georgia & Clemson. Did you grow up in Idaho & have an allegiance to BSU? If you need to keep them in your top 20 – them make them #19 – or take them off list – as they’re still holding their funeral for the loss of Kellen Moore – 2011.
#16 Georgia – What’s going on here? They finished at #4 – AP – Aaron Murray is back & they submarined to #16? – better have an explanation – move them up to #6 to take LSU’s place.
#18 – Clemson? What happened to this team? Smokin’ again? Didn’t this team beat LSU – in the Chick-fil-A bowl? Yes, I know – only by 1 point, but a ‘win is a win’. Move them up to #8 to take OK state’s spot.
#20 – Michigan – not impressed with their finish nor Mich. State – take them off the list.

Those teams you should ADD-IN:
Louisville – WHAT HAPPENED? Maybe you were blown-away that they whipped Florida – Put them in @ least #10 (this replaces Tex A&M’s spot)
Oregon State – yes, they slipped at the end but they’ll be in the Top 15 next year – put them in @ #14 or #15
UCLA – yes, they were 9-2 prior to playing Stanford twice – but they’ll be back stronger – only a few lost players to sr. year or NFL – put them in @ #16 or #17.

Oregon State was better than NINE of those teams this year, and will be better than at least SEVEN of them next year.

I actually like Mettenberger’s talent too, but it didn’t flash with nearly enough consistency this year

L’il Rape took a lot of heat this year, but I thought the real problem was once the two O lineman went down, the line couldn’t pass block for shit. On almost every passing play this year, LSU maxed protected and ran one or two receiver routes. If the receiver was covered, Mett was fucked.

Also doesn’t help that Beckham can’t catch.

Foster is desperate for a father figure. He never had one and his HS coach was just that before he was fired. He then got in good with Trooper and even transferred into the HS where Trooper’s son goes. He was a lock to AUB as long as Trooper was there. Now It seems to most that Bama and UGA are the top two, with WASH a distant third. He’ll visit other schools, but he has a young daughter, so I would be STUNNED if he doesn’t end up at Bama, UGA or even back to AUB.

You should read up on his history. He’s not leaving the South unless you bring Trooper Taylor with him, which would be akin to literally asking the NCAA to look into your program.

Sounds like he got to know some of the recruits at the Under Armour game. Said there was a good chance he would make it to campus. If that happens, I like the chances of Mattison winning him over. Would be a nice cherry on top of having the #1 Guard, the #1 RB, and a top 5 QB in the class.

Agree that they could be overranked, but not having them in a top-20 seems strange to me with what they bring back.

Sounds like they have also gotten in on the recruitment of Reuben Foster, the #1 LB in the class. Giving Mattison all of these toys is going to make for some fun defenses.
