Carmelo Anthony May Have Been Waiting For Kevin Garnett Outside the Celtics Locker Room
Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett got into in during the 4th quarter of tonight’s Knicks – Celtics game at Madison Square Garden. Melo struggled from the field and the Celtics got the win so tempers were hot as the two battled late in the game. A double-technical was called and the referees had to step in multiple times to tell the two stars to chill out. As the final horn sounded, Carmelo exited the floor towards the Celtics tunnel instead of the Knicks usual exit. The immediate rumor is that Melo was waiting for Garnett at the visitor’s locker room.
Carmelo exits via the opposite tunnel to avoid walking past the Celtics…or maybe he was waiting for Kevin Garnett.

If it is true that Carmelo was lingering around the Celtics locker room the league may have a problem with that.

Mike Woodson refused to comment about the report of Carmelo outside the Celtics locker room before he was even asked about. So there’s that

Here’s Melo slapping the ball out of KG’s hands late and then it looks like he says, “Fuck you.”

finally, a good story to salvage a terrible night!

Garnett is a pussy, only gets physical with smaller players, guards, etc. Melo could probably fuck him up, and that’s not saying much. If only…

Brent made a reference to Johnny Manziel’s off-field talents or something like that (reference to his girl) then compared him to Joe Namath in that regard. Brent obviously reads TBL with all his WAG knowledge

Evidence of how effective KG’s frustration tactics are
January 7th, 2013 at 11:22 PM
Yeah he really wanted nothing to do with Melo, very telling.
January 7th, 2013 at 11:24 PM
It started after Garnett elbowed Amare in the back. Melo saw it and wasn’t having it. Melo kept calling him a “fucking pussy” to his face. Garnett being the pussy that he is, wouldn’t even make eye contact. Too funny.

he turned pacifist really quick once Melo got in his face.

Got ‘Melo fuming. Mission accomplished. KG knows there’ll be no fighting. Just smart NBA tricks

I redact comment #2. HERO on punk crime.
January 7th, 2013 at 11:31 PM
KG knows there’ll be no fighting, because he won’t fight.

Nobody’s going to fight on the court. Pretty sure Melo would hammer his ass though. KG is all mouth. I will remind you though…

wouldn’t be much of a fight either way. if memory serves, Melo’s preferred tactic is throwing one sissy punch, then running 30 feet backwards.
January 8th, 2013 at 12:31 AM
ha, the legend of Mardy Collins. I remember that punch. He cold cocked Collins with that “sissy” punch. But then again, everyone gets to be the Heavyweight Champ of the world on the internet.

I’m assuming that includes all the people on here calling out Garnett?
January 8th, 2013 at 1:08 AM
You have an example of a Keving Garnett punch that I can use to answer that question for you? A push? A trip? Just a mean mug, huh?
January 8th, 2013 at 2:10 AM
did Carmelo make up for the epic backpedal of 2006 tonight?
/still a bitch move

+1
enough of the KG is a pussy nonsense. he’s a savvy veteran and whether he can fight or not, he’s paid to hit 15′ jumpers, rebound, play defense, and be a leader. NOT fight. settle down internet heroes/boston haters
January 8th, 2013 at 7:18 AM
What? Leaders don’t start shit and then back down the second someone remotely close in size get’s in their face. Pussies do that.
January 8th, 2013 at 7:31 AM
Sounds like someone was a LITTLE frustrated by his woeful 6-26(!) shooting night.
January 8th, 2013 at 8:58 AM
Punk on punk crime is right. KG is by far the king of all punks, but Melo isn’t too far behind. It’s January. You can sit a game or two. Do something or stop running your mouth.

ZaZa Pachulia did the headbutt dance with KG two playoffs ago … KG – the playground bully – did nada.
