No. 3: Chris Samuels, OL (1996-99) Samuels is one of the most dominant lineman in college football history. He won the Outland Trophy as a senior. By most accounts he did not allow a sack through 42 starts. Beast.

No. 2: Cornelius Bennett, LB (1983-85) Bennett had 21.5 sacks for his career. He was a Lombardi award-winner, a three-time All-American and did that to Steve Beurlein. He was chosen Alabama’s Player of the 1980s ahead of Thomas.

that was one of the more shocking plays I’ve remembered watching as it unfolded. That’s no overblown morality play of Don Bebe catching a defensive lineman from behind right there.

How does the offensive line look for next yr?

I think they lose Lonergan and Dworaczyk. Lot of injuries this past season, so some younger guys saw more playing time.
I’m not sold on the OL really for next season being real solid, but if the defense is decimated, it doesn’t matter, because the offense isn’t winning any games for them anyway with Rape Jr. at QB.

Antonio Langham needs to be on this list. All American, Thorpe award, tatum trophy, career interception leader And made perhaps the biggest play for Alabama in the last 30 years with his pick 6 in the inaugural SEC title game. I know he’s the reason they had to forfeit their wins in 93, but based on talent, needs to be on here.
