Alabama Destroyed Notre Dame 42-14, Won Third BCS Title In Four Seasons

Alabama obliterated Notre Dame 42-14 to win their second-straight BCS Title and their third in the past four seasons. Notre Dame could not execute phase one of its game plan: stop the run. Yeldon and Lacy combined for 247 yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries. This game was never competitive. Roll Tide.
Pro tip: When the media hive comes to the same conclusion without a tangible justification and that conclusion coincides with a strong majority of public betting, fade hard.
Eight long months…

College football is broken

Nah, other “organizations” just need to step it up.

Te’o's agent (assuming he has one lined up) had to be cringing every time ESPN showed that reel of missed tackles and inability to shed blocks.

Notre Dame should never play in another BCS game ever again. I’m thinking that the insight.com bowl is their ceiling.

Te’o was reminiscent of BQ against LSU

So there is a god after all?

Notre dame is as much an elite football power as Andy Reid is an elite father.

Leave it to gay army to bring that back up

As I sat
upon the shitter
I knew this wasn’t
A one turd quitter
I’ll squeeze and strain
For over an hour
I’ll sweat so bad
I’ll need a shower
But when I’m finished
And the deed is through
I’ll pull up my pants
After I showed that poo
Then to the kitchen
Where I’ll make some food
I thought of that in the tree stand today. Figured might as well do something productive since I wasn’t killing deer.

Then to the bedroom
Where I’ll take a nap
To recover the energy
From that tiresome crap.

I’d like to thank ND for ruining the BCS title game. All of you can suck a bag of dicks.

I actually laughed out loud alone in my den when Musberger said, “Isn’t it AMAZING how many awards Te’o won this year.” I was like…yes, it’s mind blowing that the 7th best linebacker in the country won that many awards.

I’m surprised at how many people were surprised at this outcome.

BTW, Winners & Losers:
Winners: McCarron’s girlfriend, Nick Saban, Cleveland Browns
Losers: Brian Kelly, Manti Te’o, Lou Holtz (whose CCH ad kept getting more and more annoying).
January 8th, 2013 at 8:28 AM
Saban isn’t leaving Bama
January 8th, 2013 at 8:30 AM
but how many of those 6 better linebackers play for Notre Dame?
January 8th, 2013 at 8:31 AM
That’s why the Browns are winners from the game.
January 8th, 2013 at 8:31 AM
*sigh*…no he isn’t. I thought it was nice of Brent and Kirk to mention Bama’s depth 1,000 times and not once mention how they oversign almost every year. Bama signed 20+ players more than what ND signed over the same period. But yeah…that has nothing to do with their depth.
January 8th, 2013 at 8:37 AM
Where was your team Jim? Sounds like sour grapes to me.
I am a ND fan, have been for 25 years. They were outmatched and outplayed. The better team won. We certainly didn’t need to help them by missing tackles. Congrats Alabama.
Sad that this is all you have though. What do you do the rest of the year? And does it get this crazy down there for the Super Bowl?
January 8th, 2013 at 9:20 AM
Mine hung 62 points on Navy in the (hold your laughter) Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. ND is certainly a better team than ASU, but they had no business being in the BCS. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t rooting for them (despite personal and professional ties to Alabama), but let’s be real here – would the outcome have been different had they played any other team in the top 5 – or SEC, for that matter? Great season and congrats to turning the program around though. I’m looking forward to three games in five years, too. See you October 5th at Cowboy Stadium (Actually, I highly doubt I’ll see you. But I’ll be watching the game nonetheless).

I don’t have have one. I went to a D3 school so I’m a neutral college football observer and just want exciting, competitive games. I was talking about how poorly ND has done in BCS bowls. Let’s take a look, shall we. They lost 41-9 in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl, 34-20 in the 2006 Fiesta, 41-14 in the 2007 Sugar and now 42-14 in the BCS championship. That’s a lot of unwatchable football.
January 8th, 2013 at 10:00 AM
jim, you don’t really still drink cold smile do you?
January 8th, 2013 at 10:21 AM
hookemdevils, thank you for an intelligent, rational response. Not getting that from SEC Teams (non-Bama fans, you didn’t win last night) or ND haters.
Jim, I played D3 hoops and volleyball. My school wasn’t big enough for football. There’s exciting, competitive games in the NFL, which we can gladly get back to tomorrow.

Vez – I drink on two ends of the beer spectrum. If I’m on the low end, I’ll drink Old Style because it’s cheaper and I like it better than the other macro lagers. If I’m on the high end, I tend to drink Belgium Trippels and quads, but due to price that’s not very often. I really don’t understand why people drink Corona though. There are so many better and more interesting options at that price point.

That’s quite hilarious.
