Chip Kelly Turned Down the NFL, Will Stay At Oregon For 2013
Chip Kelly wants to finish his business in Eugene. That business may be a national title. The Oregon coach turned down interest from multiple NFL teams and considered joining the Philadelphia Eagles. He will stay with the Ducks, at least through the 2013 season. Lane Kiffin just can’t catch a break.
Kelly is 46-7 in four seasons with Oregon. The Fiesta Bowl win was the Ducks’ fourth-straight BCS bowl trip. Few would doubt the talent is there to maintain, if not enhance their present level of success. The one looming question is a pending NCAA Committee on Infractions hearing. Many thought this would fuel Kelly’s decision to bolt.
We can presume it’s not a matter of if but when Kelly leaves, but his present situation at Oregon is comfortable. NFL jobs come open every year. He can afford to wait for the right one.

Kiffin can’t catch a break? Kiffin might be the worst coach in the entire conference. Chip Kelly staying or leaving will not effect his impending 7-5 season (at best) one bit.

There’s no if’s about it. Kiffin is the worst coach in the conference.

Actually, if he really did turn down the Eagles, I think he won’t go to the NFL, ever. He’s turned down three teams, one of which is one of the bigger names in the league.

Chip Kelly did not want to coach the Eagles and decided to return to Oregon

Kiffin is absolutely the worst coach in the conference. Fortunately for him (unfortunately for SC fans who want him fired) he is also the best recruiter in the country
