Eh, don’t be, I’ll live although at the time I thought it was the biggest tragedy and injustice in the world. Chalk it up to being a dumb college kid. As I was reminded last year and 3 years ago, there will always be shitty sports losses. Truth be told I am more pissed about the 2000 season, not getting to play in the title game than I am 2002. Plus, 2001 was a great year.

I’ve told this before, I was at a bar since around 3pm that day. At halftime I decided to buy the bar a round of shots. Then later they lost my tab. Plus the victory. I drank so much aftewwards my side was hurting the next day. Top 5 day ever. Sorry though. Insane game. I always felt bad the Texas-USC title game came so close to it, two of the greatest title games of all time.

I’m sure it’s compelling but I won’t read it. I’m done with that game. I’ve re-watched it, lamented about it, and argued about it with people everywhere including these comments.

OSU won, got the trophy, Gamble was probably inbounds on that 3rd down, game was officiated horribly both ways, too many turnovers by Miami, and the PI call was horseshit.
