I understand the Oregon 1-point safety because the ball never touched the ground and the Kansas State player ran the ball into the end-zone.

I don’t understand the Texas one because it looked like the ball skipped along the ground, past the line of scrimmage and was fallen on by an A&M player.

I thought if the ball touches the ground past the line of scrimmage on FGs, it’s a dead ball. Or is it that the offense can’t touch the ball first?

I watch an absurd amount of football at all levels and never once have I seen this. My head about exploded.
