Louisville Rolls Florida 33-23 in Sugar Bowl, Biggest Upset in BCS History
How would Louisville fare against a Top 25 team? Quite well. The Cardinals upset the No. 3 Florida Gators 33-23 in the Sugar Bowl. A late special teams touchdown made that score more flattering. Teddy Bridgewater completed 20/32 for 266 yards and two touchdowns, amplifying the Heisman 2013 buzz. SEC defenders will resort to “motivation” or “we’d love to see Charlie Strong do it week-in, week-out” against an SEC schedule.
Biggest BCS upset ever? The two most often cited are Utah over Alabama in the Orange Bowl after the 2008 season and Boise State over Oklahoma after the 2006 season. Both those teams went 13-0 and finished in the Top 10 in SRS. Louisville entered this game outside the Top 50. They were 38th in FEI. They lost to UConn at home. Louisville had an AQ bid, but, by some measures, this was a bigger upset than Northern Illinois over Florida State would have been.

thanks for this duff. here’s what i wrote earlier in the middle finger post:
that #3 ranking looks silly. what was OU ranked when Boise knocked them off? this is a 21 smashing a 3 yet it has no buzz to it. weak cfb year, top-team wise

Did you win some bank on this game vez? A note to self: no more 3 day weekends. By the 3rd day if I’ve got nothing better to do beers start getting pounded in the AM and I’m zonked out by dinnertime. Now I’m wide awake and it’s after 1. And the beer’s gone.

i lost meth, but came out ahead overall tonight based on hoops success.
your situation sounds shitty but it reminds me i do enjoy morning/day drinking
gotta hit the hay myself

I can’t sleep either but that is due to the terrible decision I made to take a nap after work. I slept till 9 pm. Now I’m wide awake and have to be at work at 7:30.
I may take some recreational NyQuil in a few.

And there are some loud-ass Coyotes in the field behind my house yapping. It would be cool if I wasn’t trying to sleep.

Honestly I’d rather be in your shoes. My shift is 3-11:30 PM. If I don’t get back to sleep at some point I’m going to be one miserable motherfucker tomorrow.

Seen quite a few coyotes in PA. They’re starting to show up here too.

I used to work a 3 till midnight shift. I liked it ok, but that was mainly cause it was an easier shift in terms of work load.
I sometimes take ZzzQuil which is like a NyQuil sleep aid. It’s not for cold symptoms, just to help you sleep. It works well, you just have to take it like an hour before you wanna fall asleep and let it kick in. It tastes great too.

Fuck it, I’m out. Gotta try to sleep.

Never tried zquil. Nyquil is a legal form of date rape in my opinion. Take that and next thing you know 9 hours just disappears. In regards to the shift I hate it. Rarely have bosses around for more than 1-2 hours. That’s the only upside.
January 3rd, 2013 at 1:34 AM
Good luck on that. I’m trying again here soon.

jesus christ dude, what do you do for a trade?
January 3rd, 2013 at 3:03 AM
That’s a retail shift if I’ve ever seen one.

customer service emails for a coffee company. it sucks, it’s boring and I don’t make nearly as much as I used to. I took the first job I found when I got laid off which unfortunately was that coffee company. New Year’s resolution: get a better job.
Goes without saying I never got back to sleep.

Apparently Boise was only a 7 point dog against OU. Bama a 10 point favorite over Utah. Gators were favored by 14/14.5 last night.

I’m just glad we “fixed” things so that impressive 3rd place team will be able to be in the playoffs. Playoffs!
For FL fans sake, I hope you’ve got a QB other than Driskell on that roster, wow.

It is a good day when the Gators lose!

Hear hear.

Utah and Boise wins were still bigger upsets. Florida isn’t that good.
