Fiesta Bowl: Oregon vs. Kansas State
The Consolation Bowl… By some measures, Oregon and Kansas State were the two best teams in the country. Late losses cost both a chance to play for the BCS Title. With a proper selection process, this might have been the other play-in game for a four-team playoff. With the likely selection process, Kansas State, winner of the nation’s toughest conference in 2012, would not even make the final round of voting, because athletic directors think other teams “could beat em.”
Distractions… NFL teams are hot for Chip Kelly. He will, reportedly, interview with the Eagles, the Browns and the Bills. It seems another coach, likely offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich, may be christening Oregon’s new football facility, which does not have a hot tub screening room. Can’t wait for some unsuspecting NFL hack to ask him about time of possession.
Recreational Prediction: Kansas State [+7.5] I don’t have a firm read on this game, but handling an up tempo spread offense is what Kansas State does all season. Whether it’s the time off affecting rhythm or the other team having extra time to prepare, good teams tend to have success against Oregon coming off an extended absence.

Keys to a good choco shake:
-choco ice cream. As long as it aint the ghetto bottom-rung shit, you’re good to go. You dont need the expensive shit.
-throw that in the blender. then pour in some whole milk. maybe a little herseys but only a little
-let it sit in the blender for a minute or two, you dont want that ice cream to cold so it doesnt blend
-blend a bit, take lid off, stir to make sure it’s all getting hit, at most add a tiny bit of milk, resist the urge to overdue it here with milk, that shit will start melting and become smoother in a hurry
-a little more blending, you want that shit so think it’ll almost come out of the blender in one giant glop, but just under that thickness.
put that in a frosted mug from feezer, so you can man up and chug that down

growing up, we werent that well off and my mom was very frugal. Always had some shitty concentrate drink. I went to spend a few weeks with my grama, she took me to the supermarket to get food. we were in the drink aisle and I was feeling gutsy so I asked for the welch’s white grape juice. My town really has shit for food options. Thankfully this little fast food-ish mexican place opened late last year. Everything is made fresh (aside from the tortillas) and damn, its good. A lot of food for 7 bucks. Spicy and flavorful.

Takes me about 20 bags of mulch to square my yard away every spring. I’ve been debating going to the rubber mulch ever since my brother in law lit our mulch on fire. Put a cig out in it the day after I laid it in 100 degree heat. Lucky we were outside or we might not have caught it before the house caught. Lost a small tree in the blaze.

After 20 years of marriage, I’ll still jokingly refer to my wife as my “bride”. We went to Europe a few years ago. As the plane was boarding my wife went to the bathroom. The attendants were doing their final preps and noticed an empty seat by mine. I said “my bride is in the can”. Later, as we were about 30 minutes from landing, the attendant got on the intercom to do all the final landing/thank-you crap and asked if anyone other than the couple in <> 17B and 17C are celebrating their honeymoon.

Worst part was no one kne he was smoking again, so wife blamed it on me, which outed me as a smoker to her parents. I knew I hadn’t put out any cigs even remotely close to the mulch, so thought the mulch spontaneously combusted due to the fresh chemicals and the heat. We were in the back yard and saw the smoke billowing from the front yard, fortunately the hose was handy or we might have been in trouble. He admitted to it like a year later.

I do work experience hours at the social services office here in town in order to get my temporary public assistance. I do clerical work. There are some caseworkers who are amazed at how quickly i can file cases in the filing cabinets. Umm..its alphabetizing..all it takes is the ability to read and common sense. These are the people they hire for these social worker jobs? Goodness…

Yea. I should go invest in one of those books that’s full of them instead of buying a paper everyday just to skim it and then do the puzzles. I’m not the best at them as the week goes on and they get harder, so if I could find a crossword book with clues like “What goes moo?” I’d be in business.
