Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Louisville
Florida: Anemic but efficient offense. Incredible defense. Florida, at 11-1, had a better regular season resumé than both teams that played in the SEC title game. They went 5-1 against the SRS Top 15. It did not come with the fireworks characteristic of the Meyer and Spurrier eras, but fans only care about winning. They did a lot of that, though one would not know that looking at Will Muschamp.
Louisville: This was a good, young Cardinals team. Though not a great one. They led a bit of a charmed life, winning one-score games against some not so great teams (Southern Miss, South Florida and Florida International). They are decent in most areas, though they have a great play-maker at quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. Louisville impressed enough to get bailed out by the ACC.
Worth Noting: Northern Illinois [SRS 36] might not have been BCS worthy. Louisville, the Big East champ with a guaranteed bid, finished [SRS 56]. Florida claims to be taking them seriously.
Prediction: The result won’t be in doubt, though a 14-point spread is huge with that offense. Louisville, with its passing game, is a definite back door cover threat. [Pick: Louisville +14]

Louisville lost at home to Uconn. They are not a good football team
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:02 PM
ESPN should just have Herbsteit and Power just get down on their knees and finish the job on Tebow. I think I saw herb licking drool.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:10 PM
Jumped all over Florida on this game.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:23 PM
Just sing the anthem! I always wondered what Sgt. jones did after Police Academy 20. Now I know.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:32 PM
How did Sean McDonough get the Sugar Bowl?
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:33 PM
Pick 6 for Louisville!
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:34 PM
What a terrible pass.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:35 PM
Took LOU +14.5. Hopefully that .5 pt pays dividends. I love taking dogs, that’s what got me burned last nite with NOILL
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:38 PM
Syracuse whipped Louisvile. That being said, go Ville! BIG EAST BIG EAST! Jeff driskel sucks at QB. Good job florida!
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:42 PM
This looks like the NOILL running game last nite. FLA is giving them nothing
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:43 PM
Who was the bat girl in the stands? Or at least she’s participating in Mardi Gras
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:43 PM
Jerami Grant is a freshman on SU’s basketball team. Lets hope he is as good as his uncle, Horace Grant, and not like Harvey, his dad
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:44 PM
Florida’s offense stinks like my dump will later tonight after the mexican food i had for dinner
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:48 PM
Buckle up your helmets, Louisville.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:49 PM
Wow. FLA bringing it like LSU did the other nite
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:51 PM
Damn, I think a gun went off and shot the cameraman at the goal line
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:52 PM
So when does Georgia get to play their BCS bowl game?… Oh wait
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:54 PM
Roast, you here tonite? Did you take anything?
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:57 PM
Just to reinforce: Syracuse dropped 45 on this Louisville team. They ran for 278 yards….
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:00 PM
I have no clue how Florida beat the teams they beat, this is exactly how they’ve looked every time I’ve watched them this year. I’m guessing they’ll score like 2 special teams TD and a pick six or something.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:00 PM
You never know, but feeling pretty good about taking Louisville now. That shit offense Florida has will probably not be able to run off 28 straight.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:02 PM
You mean South Carolina?
/35-7.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:02 PM
you know who horace grant looks like?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:03 PM
I know how they beat SC…we turned the ball over 3 times inside our own 10 in the 1st half. UF had ONE first down and 21 points in that first half.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:04 PM
yep, bou. got gators m14.5. also grizzlies, spurs, okc, creighton and illini
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:04 PM
This is the same florida team that needed a late INT and TD to beat Louisiana Lafayette. Fraudy fraud fraud
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:05 PM
If syracuse had a good enough defense all season, they’d be in this game dropping 40 on Florida.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:05 PM
almost took the under. oh well, didn’t put much on this. i forgot about the gators scoring 14 on missouri to eek out a win in the swamp
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:06 PM
Roast, we’re on oppo for 2 games. I took SOILL +1.5. I see they’re done by 3 at the half
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:07 PM
Sorry, ILLST is what I meant
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 PM
i can’t picture a world where illinois state is ranked
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 PM
Ten degrees outside. I was at the store earlier and it just hurt to breathe. I like it cold but not this cold
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:11 PM
Could we get just one Celtics player to go for an offensive rebound? Thanks a ton
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 PM
TRADE FOR COUSINS!!

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 PM
I grab my picks off of a few people I follow on twitter. My knowledge of CBB is very limited to a handful of teams. I’m about .500 for the year. I love a few teams ATS, Miami, San Diego St and USC (usually against them). MIA has hit a rough spot, they lost Reggie Johnson to a broken finger for 6 weeks. I’m gonna miss college football so bad
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 PM
backing Florida in this one. Gross start.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:13 PM
Did Lisk ever post the final standings for the college football team draft we did? If he did, I missed it
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:13 PM
Bring on the Fiesta Bowl tomorrow night. Oregon vs K State
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:14 PM
I must have been last, caribou. USC killed me
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:16 PM
NFL will also be over before you know it, like 2 weeks. Nothing but nothing until the NBA playoffs start.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:17 PM
Hockey!
/weeps
//guess ill read some books
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:18 PM
What do people like for tomorrow nite’s matchup? Running my nos. still and I lean early on ORE. KSU has been great this year, took them many times, but the speed of ORE might be the equalizer, can Klein and the wildcats keep pace?
For Friday, I LOVE TXAM vs Chokelahoma. Aggies -3.5. I got a score of 41-30 TXAM. Kevin Sumlin will score, score and score some more if he can. That’s a team to back. A team that never quits scoring.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:18 PM
ap i put my life savings on that memphis tip you gave earlier
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:19 PM
gators coming back one field goal at a time i see
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:19 PM
Well, they are up by 16 after the 3rd Q
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:21 PM
no lead is comfy when you have your life savings involved
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:21 PM
Tomorrow is tricky, could see Oregon being very flat with Kelley having one foot (or two) out the door. KSU can’t keep up if Oregon is on.
Havent watched a lot of Louisville, Bridgewater kid can spin the ball.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:21 PM
SEC defense!
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 PM
the loss on gators is worth it as my BIL is a gators freak and i’m sure came into tonight uber confident
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 PM
Louisville’s offense has been good all year. Their defense let them down in their two losses. If Florida had a real QB, this game would be tighter
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:23 PM
Jared sullinger still has no jump shot.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:25 PM
Like Oregon simply because another speedy team, Baylor, killed them.
Like Aggie Friday, but hope sooner wins. Won’t bet that one.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:26 PM
Killed k state
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:34 PM
Rinaldi feeling up Tebow on the sideline, to the jealousy of media members everywhere.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:35 PM
i feel like we’re together but alone, commenting at each other but not really reading

Bayless pleasuring himself to the sight of tebow
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 PM
Love that fans and commentators take what happened in a bowl game and try to equate it to the regular season. Bowl games aren’t even in the flow of a season. It’s a one off. These teams have had 24 days between games. What they did in the regular year has no correlation to this. Totally different.
So if Florida loses to Louisville in a game 3 weeks since their last one they were “overrated?” Or any other bowl game where a favorite loses to an inferior opponent. Laughable assumption.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 PM
Know what is nasty (besides your mother)? Diet Sunkist soda
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:37 PM
I think florida is overrated because they were all season.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:37 PM
If I already thought they were overrated, then yes.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:42 PM
So florida has no pass offense or pass defense…
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:45 PM
Repeating myself …
SEC QBs mostly suck, propping up SEC defenses.
Good QBs generally have success vs SEC defenses.
Bridgewater is good, not great , similar to Murray.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:45 PM
Teddy bridge water sounds like a nickname for my testes.
/fantana’d
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:45 PM
They lost one game playing by far the hardest schedule in the country. If that’s overrated I would hate to see what a properly rated team is.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:48 PM
Who’s the “genie” from the Direct TV commercial?
/Team Trashy
//love those eyes
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:50 PM
Yeah, who’s the genie?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:53 PM
Hannah Davis, a victoria’s secret model
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:53 PM
the hardest schedule in the country
i’m somewhat clueless, but i take exception to this
/i don;t know what we’re yelling about!
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:54 PM
you guys ever seen the tumblr on hot commercial women? it is everything you’ve wanted and more
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:59 PM
for some reason TBL won;t let me link that site. just look up ‘who’s that hot ad girl?’ and then add me to your will
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:00 PM

January 2nd, 2013 at 10:02 PM
Hannah Davis
All kinds of awesome there.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:09 PM
roast and ap, Celts are a disgrace right now. I had the under tonight. It was 179. Need I say more?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:10 PM
Florida’s offense is an embarrassment, and has been all year. However, their defense has been as good as their offense has been bad
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:12 PM
man that tumblr is a bunch of fun
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:13 PM
Working out takes forever whilst constantly checking my phone for NBA scores

January 2nd, 2013 at 10:34 PM
SEC not exactly convincing this bowl season.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:36 PM
Roast, see CRE won 79-72. Can you hit me up some picks sometime for CBB?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:37 PM
Can you imagine what UConn would be doing to Florida right now?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:38 PM
bou, i can only tell you what i like. i don’t run numbers like you. i read previews after seeing the spreads/over-unders. that’s it

I was at Pitt and Temple debacle at Rentschler, and USF in Tampa
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:43 PM
Thanks roast, I missed out, game already started
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:45 PM
I have the Clips. Logic suggest GS with Clips playing back to back, but I been riding them. Also have Suns -4, Utah -3, and under 196.5 Utah/Minn.
5-5 on previously decide games tonight
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:45 PM
Double bird + fu … stay classy fl douchefan
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:55 PM
bou i’ll be happy to share my cbb picks, as long as you understand my level of ‘research’
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:56 PM
did anyone check out the hot ad girl site? seems like a dream for this place, as much babe and TV talk there is
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:09 PM
I checked out the site. Very nice. How’s your record for CBB roast?
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:15 PM
I love working on my college football picks. It’s work sometimes, but when you start to hit, you don’t mind doing it. I had FLA winning this game, 36-22, but took the 14.5 line. Also. For home/away scenarios, I had the game a lot closer, so that swayed me as well. The way FLA finished the season with some low scores, made me think LOU could hang for awhile, but nothing like this
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:17 PM
Deeser – notice your avatar is a green ribbon – have you had an organ transplant? I ask because I have. The green ribbon isn’t all that common.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:20 PM
i’d have to look back for a record bou. i’m small time….10s, 20s, sometimes 50s and 100s. my guy is a friend, 100 limit on bets, so most i could do on a game would be 200. i know you bet more than that, so take my advice at your peril. i just don’t bet enough to spend too much time researching. we go month to month, so payday either way is first of each month. did well in december on cfb, nfl and cbb, but am hovering just under 0 right now
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:27 PM
Gotcha roast. Sometimes when you bet and lose, you wish you have bet less. Tonite is a nite that I wish I would have bet more. Would be a little happier if I had got that ILLST game. Going to bed now. Will see you in the AM and throw out the ORE pick
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:32 PM
so, this is what it looks like when the SEC plays teams out of conference.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:37 PM
too late to troll darrell. not enough eyeballs. i like the attempt at mischief tho
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:40 PM

January 2nd, 2013 at 11:55 PM
trojans, at the half my double warriors bet looks promising
/who are the warriors? i want ALL the warriors
January 3rd, 2013 at 12:02 AM
It’s looking lock-ish. Warriors having a hell of a reg season. Still not buying long-term though
January 3rd, 2013 at 12:07 AM
only worry is that clips won’t score enough for my 201
