Going through Arkham Asylum, almost done with it, just final battle and then 40-ish Riddler stuff left. I didn’t remember it being as good as it is, a lot of fun battles, although the TITAN guys/Bane are really repetitive. Also, because of all the hours I put into Arkham City, even hard mode is insanely easy.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:16 AM
ok…. WHO is going to link the roundup pic from the frontpage? looks like TBL is going to continue this nonsense in 2013
/ HAPPY NEW YEAR’d

This was the worst NFL betting season I ever had.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:29 AM
if you like movies, must-read: The Making of Blues Brothers …
So far so good. I just scrounged up “Briefcase Full of Blues” LP the other day and was listening with my oldest. Akroyd never talked much about Belushi so a few good kernels in this so far.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:34 AM
we need to ban mall shark tanks.
/people would still find a way to get shark tanks
//sharks, turtles, fish and…sharks (?) kill each other every day, we don’t care about them or people from chicago
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:38 AM
So many sharks…

January 2nd, 2013 at 8:41 AM
First day back after 12 off. Someone take my shoelaces.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:43 AM
what a pussy way to go out. be a man and disembowel yourself.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:43 AM
Congratulations, you’re a professional!
Have no clue what to make of this PSU NCAA shit today, could be good, could be bad. Hopefully the NCAA cuts things back a bit, the state drops the suit, and everybody saves a little face.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:44 AM
I’ve been here an hour and I’m already on the verge of stabbing someone.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:45 AM
Ya know, my last hospital visit, shoelaces were luckily allowed as long as you stayed in the common area with them. Then every nurse/PCA would keep watch of you while you’re sitting there with shoes on that are snug.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:46 AM
Damn Brits.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:46 AM
pardon my ignorance, but it seems to me that those who should’ve intervened, and had the authority to, decided to cover it up.
ban penn state football for ever and strike any mention of it from the history records. only fair.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:46 AM
Corbett is suing the NCAA over the PSU sanctions. This should be amazing.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:48 AM
Ah, I see we’re already discussing this.
Lubrano is right and wrong. They have authority because the NCAA member schools grant it that power. However, from a strictly legal standpoint, its unclear whether the NCAA can do anything. That’s why the suit will come at the NCAA from an antitrust angle.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:48 AM
You mean like Corbett, who was the AG, and didn’t raise charges after 3 years of investigation?
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:49 AM
I can picture TBL licking his lips in anticipation of the inevitable “bad bowl ratings” post.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:50 AM
i did not know that…i hope he gets pecked to death by a parliament of owls.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:50 AM
I thought I heard on the radio last night that the state had issue with the NCAA taking Penn taxpayer funds and distributing it out of state (the 60mil fine) and instead wanted that money to stay in PA
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:51 AM
murder of crows >>>> parliament of owls
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:52 AM
Seems like thats the main legal point, but supposedly takes on the whole set of sanctions. Like I said, reduce the penalties by a year or two, come up with a guarantee on money distribution %’s, and everyone wins.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:53 AM
Oh yeah, this was all going on and he failed to act. Also, I believe Corbett took some cash flow for his campaign from the Second Mile. All good stuff.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:54 AM
Florida State 31, Northern Illinois 10, in a snoozer of an Orange Bowl

January 2nd, 2013 at 8:55 AM
I’d rather talk about how awesome the Outback and Cap One bowl were. Those were two great games to watch. The ending of the Outback was fantastic.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:55 AM
The NCAA will essentially stall this lawsuit for years, taking any reduction of penalties out of the equation. So the football team will still end up screwed while the University – the organization that should be paying for this, in a fiscal and moral sense – will end up getting a lot of their fine money back. Which sucks all the way around.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:55 AM
hahaha…bravo.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:56 AM
Finished the Blues Brothers article. Good stuff. Cocaine is a helluva drug.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:56 AM
Watched “Burlesque” with the girl last night. Wow Christina, (pre-fatty), is sexy in that. Too bad Cher is in it. She looked like a grandpa dressed in drag.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:57 AM
Sixteen people were injured; sharks, turtles, fish and sharks died
You said sharks twice.
I like sharks.
/saddest for me is the turtles.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:57 AM
wonder if bill o’brien has ever told his team to “hit the showers.”
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:58 AM
It should also be mentioned that Corbett is a self-serving scumbag who almost certainly knew about Sandusky’s actions and did nothing while serving as AG. His office had Dusky on tape admitting to child molestation and didn’t do a goddamn thing about it. Bad man, bad governor.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:58 AM
This is the crux of the Penn State lawsuit by the State of PA as I understand it.
You really think Gov. Corbett gives a fuck about what happens to the quality of the Penn State football program?
He doesn’t want that fat cash the University got fined leaving the state.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:58 AM
a congress of turtles.
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:59 AM
They really were, had one on TV and the other on the tablet. Defenses were non-existent. And Hoke is a fraud.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:00 AM
At one point in the early 2000s (right before she went into trash mode), I would have put Aguleria in my top 5. Incredible body, guaranteed freak in bed. Sign me up.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:01 AM
taylor lewan vs. clowney yesterday was pretty cool. lewan’s a damn good tackle.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:01 AM
Well, defenses were existent in the Outback. There wasn’t a single one in the Cap One. Shit was embarrassing. This year’s UGA defense will go down in the school’s history as the most underachieving defense of all time. 9 guys will most likely get drafted and they couldn’t defend my office running a trap play. Just terrible.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:03 AM
I’m about to humanize myself but my sister is Coco, she’s the first dancer Christina sees. Yes, that’s a brag. And Christina is as crazy as you can imagine. Kristen Bell is nice tho

KTLA is reporting Clippers Owner Donald Sterling SON was found dead this morning. (fixed)
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 AM
I bet he does. a shitty football team over a period of time isn’t going to bring in tax dollars like a successful team would. Governors love tax dollars.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 AM
I heard it was Sterling’s kid, not Donald himself. If only….
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 AM
Sounds like Murray may be ready to leave UGA. Would really like to see what the UGA offense would be with him next year as they don’t lose a single OL.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:08 AM
Watched a shitload of movies last week: Skyfall (A-), Killing Them Softly (F+), Flight (C+), Perks of Being a Wallflower (B), Lincoln (B+). Gonna try and check out Hobbit this week.

i just watched that over the weekend. i don’t know what to think of it.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:11 AM
I’d it helps, it was 38 & misting
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 AM
Looper was AWESOME
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 AM
ESPN was showing some Twitter thing where Dungy said if he were running the Chiefs, he’d take Murray first overall. Is the draft REALLY that bad this year? Even in the 2010 draft where 10 million quarterbacks went in the first 2 rounds, he probably wouldn’t have gone until after Dalton/Kaepernick.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 AM

Hobbit is good, if a bit long. Do Django Unchained. That movie is just tons of fun.

It’s really two movies. First act I enjoyed, second act, after getting over some initial confusion, is great.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:12 AM
It was one of the best of 2012. Reminded me of “Blade Runner”. And “Firestarter.” Sci fi w/o being too scifi-ey.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:13 AM
This is what I miss most about my pre-child life. I love going to movies. I want to see so many, but Zero Dark Thirty is atop that list for now.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:13 AM
I was literally about to ask if anyone has seen it…any good?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:14 AM
Watching Django kill white people was a delight
I suppose this year’s QB class is bad enough that some team will talk themselves into taking him in the first round setting up a chain of events that will be chronicled in a future Bill Barnwell column about why the GM needs to go
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:14 AM
The QB draft is bad this year and next year. Geno Smith is most likely the top QB this year. I couldn’t tell you who it would be next year. Some dumbass will take Logan Thomas way too high I’m sure, whenever he comes out.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:14 AM
Bullet To the Head looks like the frontrunner for movie of the year in 2013. Kahl Drago and Adebisi are co-starring. Hit.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:14 AM
I liked it.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:15 AM
I have. Really enjoyed that one, too. Solid A-
He is, but that has nothing to do with why I don’t like him. He was bought and paid for by fracking companies and they are reaping the rewards. PA is the only state in the country that doesn’t tax natural gas drilling. At the same time, he slashed education funding and laid off thousands of teachers because “the state couldn’t afford it.”
I’ve voted for Republicans before and will do so again. Probably not at the national or governorship levels, however.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:15 AM
I’m four minutes into that Fail video. Note to self, when visiting Europe, do not stand on the side of the road and watch car races.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:15 AM
All of this. She looked incredible at one time and still I think she can still get back to the early 2000′s look
Did anyone ever see the clip of her on Ellen after she had the baby? Holy smokes.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:16 AM
I watched all of those movies from the comfort of my basement. Never stepped foot in a theater. Its awards season, which means screeners are flying around.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:17 AM
Went with wife to see This is 40 – OK, not great. Has its moments (you do get to see Leslie Mann’s boobs too – no body double this time).
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:17 AM
watched yesterday…couldnt agree more. fantastic movie.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:18 AM
Am I the only person that doesn’t like reading this guy? He made a checkdown joke about Ponder in his latest. Um, Ponder doesn’t check down, he throws downfield. He’s just terrible at it.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:18 AM

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:18 AM
Thanks, thinking about renting it while my wife is out of town
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:19 AM

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:20 AM
i can’t stand bill barnwell…him and mike tanier just amp up the smug to ridiculous levels but dont have near the chops of someone like chris brown or matt waldman.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:20 AM
I’ve heard similar things from people whose opinions I trust. Judd Apatow really needs another big hit. Funny People was a disaster and This is 40 will struggle to earn $35 million.

Tajh Boyd comes out this year (like he should), and I think KC makes him the #1 pick.

It’s going to take a lot to unseat Argo in the prestigious Queefer ratings, but I have a feeling ZDT will get it done. That and Django are the only two awards-heavy films I still need to see (I’m not watching Beasts of the Southern Wild, sorry).
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 AM
I’d take Murray over Boyd. If Murray is taken in the 2nd round he’s going to be great. The first round pressure to play immediately will not bode well for him though. I just hope he stays and UGA puts up 40 on everyone next year. Even though Mason is supposedly very good (current backup) I will always take a known quantity over the unknown.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 AM
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 AM
Great googly moogly.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:23 AM

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:23 AM
I felt the same reading that comment. Boyd shouldn’t be anywhere near the top pick in the draft.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:24 AM
meh…it was anonymous. trent richardson and brandon weeden both took shots at the coaching of pat shurmur…yet, for some reason, shurmur still had a few defenders*.
*despite an offensive guru leading an offensively stagnant team that loses a lot and hasnt fixed fixable mistakes that should’ve been addressed in OTA’s and is a generally prickish asshole regarding anyone who dares mention these things

With the recent success of all these young QBs in the NFL, desperate teams will no doubt reach in this QB-weak draft class.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:25 AM

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:27 AM
Lewan held him in check the whole game. Aftere getting worked by OSU’s freshman, he’s proabably now a solid top 15, maybe top 10 depending on needs.
Clowney’s hit (an oh what a hit it was) came on a missed block by the TE. Why a TE would step forward instead of laterally when trying to block Clowney, I don’t know. Hell, dive laterally at his knees.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:27 AM
I love this.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:27 AM
Agree, and when Murray gets on the whiteboard he’ll wow scouts in that arena. He’ll also have more zip on his arm than people will assume based on his lack of size.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:28 AM
i got into the backfield once in HS like clowney did on that play. as a gentleman, i took the handoff instead of blowing up the RB
/we still lost
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:28 AM
i feel like the best way to block clowney is to launch yourself horizontally at him. sure, it won’t be effective, but he’ll have to wait to step over you, so that might be more than you’d get if you tried to block him for real.

If the Vikings somehow end up winning again Saturday, does Cowherd resurrect the “Aaron Rodgers isn’t clutch!” thing? I REALLY hope this happens. “Ponder wins big games! Rodgers doesn’t!”
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:29 AM
Dude hasn’t been 100% since he wrecked UGAs shit for 4 quarters. He’s been playing around 80% by most accounts for the past two months. He’s insane.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:29 AM
Whats Garrett supposed to say, wheeze? He knows he’s outta work in a cocaine heartbeat if they blow it up and roll out some gimp like Barkley while the franchise cavitates around him.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:30 AM
Reaper was a fantastic movie. A to A-.
This is 40 was very disappointing to me. I love Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann isn’t bad. I think she’s gotten hotter as she’s gotten older. That said the movie wasn’t that funny and even Megan Fox in a bikini can’t save it. I guess I expected the movie to be more about people not wanting to accept their age rather than a movie about a miserable married couple.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:30 AM
He’s also 2-11 against top 25 teams during his college career. That stat matters (to me, anyway) because QBs at big-time programs almost always have more talent than their opponents. How do you perform those two or three times a year when the scales are balanced?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:30 AM
You know a funny stat I heard….Aaron Rodgers has never won a playoff game at Lambeau. The Vikings have. Also, AP has gained 20% of his yards against GB this year….I’m taking Vikings and that 8.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:31 AM
I’m a MASSIVE Vikings fan this week. Not only would it get Rodgers out (he will shred Atlanta) but it would mean Atlanta gets Ponder the next week and they would avoid Seattle, who scares the shit out of me.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:31 AM
meh…it was anonymous. trent richardson and brandon weeden both took shots at the coaching of pat shurmur…yet, for some reason, shurmur still had a few defenders
Thing is that was with the likely acceptance that Shurmur would be gone at season’s end. Easy to speak out then. There’s no guarantee that Spagnuolo wouldn’t come back next year. So this is a move to prevent that.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:32 AM
He’s good to blame for some of those games for sure, but his defense screwed him over in a good 5-6 of those losses. That’s just the truth of the matter.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:32 AM
No, if Eli and Roethlisberger (or Brett Favre for the older crowd) have taught us anything it’s that if you’ve already won in your career you’re immune from being part of your team’s problems
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:32 AM

Boyd completed nearly 70 % (67.2) of his passes this year, with a 9.12 YPA, and a 36:13 TD:INT ratio. He also ran for 10 more TDs. Why so much Tajh hate?

January 2nd, 2013 at 9:35 AM
He’s the definition of a system QB. I know people hate that term, but it fits perfectly with Chad Morris offenses.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:35 AM
fuck clemson.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:35 AM
If Winfield is out, it could be a blowout. AJ Jefferson is not good.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 AM
Seeing Clinton and PFunk in Columbus, oh yeah.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 AM
Yes…yes he was. That was the game that AJ dominated for the first half, tweaked his hammy and didn’t play at all in the 4th and Caleb King fumbled with UGA in position to win the game. God I hate Caleb King.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 AM
I can’t remember a movie I wanted to see turning out so poorly in a really long time. The pacing was awful, building to nothing. Entire characters were nothing more than pointless, rambling distractions. Five minute conversations went nowhere. The clumsy political allegory felt both forced and obvious.
It looked great — Dominek still has a fantastic eye — but holy shit was the movie a mess.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:36 AM
That’s awesome. The red picture? That accounts for a full 94% of Spencer’s dreams.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:37 AM
I rarely can convince her to rent a movie either, that’s why when she travels for work I try to get as many squeezed in as possible
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:38 AM
My wife and I went to see Silver Linings Playbook. Was pretty good. Then my wife got very sick at about the 1:15 point and we had to leave. No time to ask for a voucher. Have no idea how it ends. It could be terrible for all I know (most of movie was good so far) but not seeing the end is brutal.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:38 AM
Take the Bama game for example. If UGA “holds” Bama to say, 280 yards rushing in stead of 350, they probably win the game. If the kicker makes his FG in the first half they win the game on a chip shot FG with allowing 350 on the ground. Putting those losses on the QB are ridiculous. For example, the same week Sean Glennon threw for 450+ yards and 5 TDs in a loss, Matt Ryan threw 5 picks in a game against Arizona and won.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:38 AM
People will come up with something. Rodgers can’t deal with expectations, Rodgers is a front-runner, Rodgers can’t handle adversity. Meanwhile, Ponder will go 11 for 23 for 105 yards and just win a football game on the football field in the National Football League. Clutch.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:39 AM
tissue from tim ryan’s lo mein will be donated to search for evidence of MSG.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:40 AM
This right here is the First Immutable Law of NFL QB Evaluation.
Second Immutable Law of NFL QB Evaluation: If you have won a Super Bowl, you are automatically an elite QB. Any discussion of additional factors (luck, defense, special teams, strength of opponent) is expressly forbidden.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:40 AM
It’s the greatest for people watching. When the shows were held at the Newport on High St, it was always my favorite event. Pimp clothes, pimp cars, and dudes selling pimp watches out of their jackets on the sidewalk.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:41 AM
There’s something to this, people still talk of Mike Vick’s playoff win at Lambeau as if he had generated 400 total yards of offense instead of being the beneficiary of five turnovers and a blocked punt fallen on for a TD
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:41 AM
This is 40 was very disappointing to me.
i’m not shocked by much on here, but the number of you who actually spent money to go see this movie blows me away. what on earth did you think a man would like about it?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:41 AM
Luckily we were give $90 in movie giftcards by various people for Christmas, so either I’ll see every movie alone or she’ll have to suck it up and go with me.
You should call of sick and see 4 movies in one day. In about 1 month when all the Oscar favorites are in nationwide release you should do it.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:42 AM
My girlfriend hated it more than I did. There’s nothing gender based about the hatred of that movie, it’s just a wretched movie.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:43 AM
You call this the Joe Flacco disease. Going 4-10 with 33 yards passing yards in a playoff victory will make analysts believe he could walk on water afterwards
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:45 AM
I just want the Falcons to win next weekend so Ryan can get that issue off of his back. Of course not having a defense that can stop the run doesn’t bode well.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:45 AM
Wish those games could be spread out. Why do we need Gator, Outback and Cap One at same time?
So I should draft Gurley early in my college fantasy league?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:46 AM
The clumsy political allegory felt both forced and obvious.
agree
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:46 AM
Or, if Murray spikes the ball they probably win. Or if he doesn’t throw that INT.
I agree that the defense is a problem and that the 2-11 record is misleading. But that defense also gave Murray one of those two top-25 wins this year (Florida).
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:47 AM
Related, I thought Samantha Ponder was looking mighty good yesterday.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:48 AM
It’s funny to hear the national media types talk about Ponder like he’s got it all figured it out. The 3rd and 11 was a fantastic bit of recognition, but other than that he’s the same guy that went 12 for 25 for 119 yards and 2 picks at Lambeau a few weeks ago.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:49 AM
Related, I thought Samantha Ponder was looking mighty good yesterday.
you mean her head and hands haven’t blown up since the wedding?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:49 AM
Atlanta is this decade’s Philadelphia. They’ll fall a couple more times in agonizing fashion before getting over the hump. Only to falter again.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:49 AM
I hate this line of thinking so much. They would have called the same play. The problem wasn’t the play or not spiking it. The problem was the Bama dude tipped the pass in just the perfect way that it was redirected right to a falling UGA receiver.
They bailed him out in the first half, but he played great in the second against a sick defense. At one point in the second half they called 13 straight passing plays.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:50 AM
awesome quote i never heard before regarding new years’ resolutions…
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:50 AM
Oh god yes. Dude is going to blow the fuck up as long as he stays healthy.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:51 AM
Works both ways. Because Flacco struggled during his first couple years in the playoffs and received praise for winning anyway, a massive overcorrection narrative went into place that he now sucks even though that team would be awful without him. Flacco deserved to play for a Super Bowl last year and his teammates completely screwed him over.
Lazy analysis either way should be unacceptable.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:52 AM
dude, flacco fucking sucks man. it’s plain as fucking day unless he’s playing the browns, where he looks unbeatable.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:53 AM
You keep fucking that chicken, queefer.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:53 AM
Is there going to be an NFL coaching carousel post? Andy Reid is now gonna be interviewing in KC before Arizona. Bills are leaning toward Whisenhunt. Bears are going after…. Dallas’ special teams coach??
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:54 AM
/throws it to a RB
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:54 AM
Didn’t see it in the theater. And we watched it because the wife wanted to see it and I’ve taken her to movies that I know she won’t like, (Seven Psychopaths) so I figured I owed her this one.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:55 AM
Tanier >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Barnwell
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:56 AM
Andy Reid so desperately needs a year off. Him getting right back into the saddle leads me to believe he might be certifiably insane.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:56 AM
I hope they keep Flacco forever.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:56 AM
Watched Tropic Thunder for the 15th time last night. Robert Downey Jr. is so great in that movie.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:56 AM
You call this the Joe Flacco disease. Going 4-10 with 33 yards passing yards in a playoff victory will make analysts believe he could walk on water afterwards
holy shit was it really THAT bad???? I mean, I was never going to call Flacco “elite,” but holy shit is that stat line AWFUL.
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:58 AM
That was the game that started with Ray Rice 80 yards off left tackle, right?
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:59 AM
To be fair I think they were up 21-0 roughly 30 seconds into that game…Flacco shouldn’t have been asked to throw it even that many times
January 2nd, 2013 at 9:59 AM
i dont even think it was that complex…i remember it as being straight up the middle and there being a moses-parts-the-seas-like hole.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:01 AM
It’s funny to hear the national media types talk about Ponder like he’s got it all figured it out.
The same national media that defends coaches after they’ve been fired or players who are shitty but they act like they still have “potential to be a good to great quarterback in the National Football League.” It’s all because they don’t want to burn bridges and want to get choice interviews.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:02 AM
I found myself laughing a lot at this movie. Of course I am close to 40 and had a few drinks prior.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:02 AM
Yeah, and Brady threw a bunch of picks in the 1st half. I actually enjoyed the result of that game since I hated NE more at the time. That has changed greatly over the past few years.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:02 AM
well, husker, it’s completely logical that reid’s kid got his problems from somewhere, whether parenting, neglect of parenting or genetic
bears inteviewed falcons keith armstrong yesterday.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:03 AM
Well it’s not like he has children to keep him busy.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:03 AM
Going 4-10 with 33 yards passing yards in a playoff victory will make analysts believe he could walk on water afterwards
Baby Hold On, Take Me Home Tonight, I Wanna Go Back, Endless Nights and Two Tickets were all better than Walk on Water.

The number of writers who came to the defense of the Carolina GM when he was fired is proof positive that this exists
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:03 AM
Liverpool getting Sturridge from Chelsea is finally official! Hopefully he learns how to pass the ball to Suarez.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:03 AM
Shit and I forgot my favorite, Cool, Cool Water.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:04 AM
I laughed a fair amount, but couldn’t get past the main characters being awful people.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:06 AM
Shakin’ as well.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:06 AM
I found myself laughing a lot at this movie. Of course I am close to 40 and had a few drinks prior.
i’m over 40 and all kidded up and had absolutely no interest. but seeing a movie drunk is fun. i had a laugh attack in the middle of Killing Them Softly

If Seattle goes to DC and win big, I’m thinking Falcons will be underdog at home from a betting perspective, no?

Yeah I’m cautiously optimistic.

If we’re talking borderline drunk/drunk and not buzzed, I think it’s better to be see an action movies than comedies. Also, Tarantino movies.
Kill Bill and Raid: Redemption drunk were two of the best movie expereiences ever.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:11 AM
No. Atlanta -2.

Did anybody else actually LIKE Killing Them Softly? I did. I’d put it in my top 15.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:13 AM
Movies are one of the few things left that America produces which other countries want to buy…unless shit’s changed I think they fall under manufactured-in-house credits
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:13 AM
Dude needed a change of scenery in the worst way. He’s got tons of ability though.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:13 AM
I usually make it a point to have a few beverages before seeing a movie. Just like with virtually everything else in life alcohol tends to make things more fun.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:15 AM
Did anybody else actually LIKE Killing Them Softly? I did. I’d put it in my top 15.
What else in there? Godfather III, Phantom Menace, Blue Brothers 3000, Battleship, 2012?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:16 AM
Might help with his Michael Moore Hates America sequel, though.

Fiscal cliff deal ensures Hollywood still gets massive tax breaks, huge surprise.
Talent tends to lean Democratic but the guys that finance everything are smart enough to understand greasing palms on both sides of the aisle.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:18 AM
After reading the An American Carol My World of Flops entry thinking I need to track this down since the movie stations don’t appear to have much interest in televising it
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:19 AM
What does Dinesh D’Souza have to say about all this?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:20 AM
The Fiscal Cliff hasn’t really been averted, it’s just been pushed back a a few months.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:23 AM
bears inteviewed falcons keith armstrong yesterday.
I honestly have no clue who that is.
i know. ST coach or something. not encouraging. i’m no meatball who needs to see only big names, but I’d like to see no ST coaches considered. this is a plum job with a semi-established QB, which none of the other jobs have. bears ought to be able to command one of the sought-afters like mccoy or a top college guy
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:25 AM
The Fiscal Cliff hasn’t really been averted, it’s just been pushed back a a few months.
disappointing we will have to go through this again in two months. kicking the can. everyone involved should be ashamed of their pay hikes

I usually make it a point to have a few beverages before seeing a movie. Just like with virtually everything else in life alcohol tends to make things more fun.
any brew and views in your area? that’s where i saw KTS (and yes, i liked it a lot, whoever asked).
it’s a trend around here (suburban chicago). closest one had bears games on the theater screen. no charge to get in.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:28 AM
Bill Cowher was a ST coach. I dont think that’s a bad way to do it. You’re getting a guy who wants to be head coach and probably going to work to get two really good coordinators. I wouldnt be upset at all if the Browns were looking at a coach because he’s a ST coach. No difference than hiring a positional coach.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:30 AM
Husker, you surprised that Mike Smith had the 1st team in the whole game? I took TB +3.5 thinking the 1st team ATL would be out by the 1st/2nd Qtr. Didn’t they get 3 players dinged up? Is Abrams going to be out?
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:30 AM
Additionally, if they are interviewing ST coaches, then why not their own proven ST guy, Dave Taub.
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:32 AM
I wouldnt be upset at all if the Browns were looking at a coach because he’s a ST coach.
yeah, but…cleveland
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:34 AM
Bill Cowher was a ST coach.
so was ditker! never mind, do it phil emery!
ST coaches stepping up to HC are for the arizona and jacksonvilles of the league
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:35 AM
No shit. Too bad their contracts aren’t like the NFL, where we can just cut them if they don’t get their job done, rather than getting a fucking raise.
Just had something similar open within the past year a mile from my apartment. Kitchen is run by some chef. Love the idea of assigned seating as well.

No, Abraham is good to go. Falcons are practicing this week. Last time they had a bye week, coaches gave players almost a week off.

kazzy it’s great. bucket of beer, good bar food, brought to you after you press the button at your seat which has a table that swings to the side
waitstaff stays low
January 2nd, 2013 at 10:45 AM
Watching NFL games on those screens, and with those sound systems, would be spectacular.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:04 AM
it is, and because the viewers have only one focus/one game the atmosphere is great, unlike a sports bar where there is multiple games on small screens and you can’t hear anything but other people in the bar
January 2nd, 2013 at 12:49 PM
Just for the record, you realize that (and I believe is stated in the article) this tax credit was implemented by the George W. Bush administration in 2004?
