I agree with this entire list, but I would add ’98 Thanksgiving game at Dallas as Moss destroys Cowboys single-handedly (and again, same bat-time, same bat-channel in 2000). Also, Moss’ last game as a Viking in the huge playoff win at Lambeau in January of 2005.

I wonder if he knew how close he was to getting it. In the post game interview he “questioed” Pam Oliver about what she meant by 9 yards. I don’t have any doubt that he knew exacly where he stood and played up only wanting to win for the cameras. I think he was genuinely only concerned with the W, but he also wanted the record.

I agree. But I think he played it classy. We all know he’s the best rb in the game and it is a true pleasure to watch the man work. We’re witnessing greatness. Plus, he helped my fantasy team win it all!

As a fellow Vikings homer, what are some your top games? Hell, other than the ’98 team pummeling the Packers on MNF, it’s been a rough go the last 52 years. Maybe knocking off San Fran in the ’87 playoffs?

In no particular order off the top of my head…

- ’98 MNF vs. Packers
- ’87 Div Playoffs vs. Niners
- ’97 Wild Card at Giants
- ’94 Moon vs. Marino showdown
- ’08 Dome vs. Packers, Peterson nearly singlehandedly winning that one

Then there’s Wild Card wins in ’87, ’88, ’98, ’09 that were all expected wins, but still immensely satisfying

Such a shame that AP didn’t get the record. Class act, he should get the MVP award. Was listening to the radio call in my car taking my boy to a friend’s house. The announcer called it when he broke the line and rumbled down to around the 10. When have been a miracle ending to rip that run off and a TD. Congrats to MIN.
