Independence Bowl: Ohio vs. Louisiana-Monroe
Ohio: The Bobcats beat Penn State, stayed undefeated through mid-October with unimpressive wins, and then closed losing four out of five. Tyler Tettleton is playing. Thus, we get the obligatory “isn’t it great his dad was a professional athlete” article. We presume his father’s experience taught him the finer points of unorthodox batting stances and dipping.
Louisiana-Monroe: The Warhawks impressed early, taking Arkansas and Auburn to overtime and hanging with Baylor in a 47-42 game. They dropped two games in November to finish 8-4, though they were missing quarterback Kolton Browning at the time.
Better Things To Do: Louisiana Tech tried to keep the Independence Bowl on hold. The Independence Bowl ditched them for Ohio.
Gnome: Ohio brought and credentialed a gnome for the bowl game.
Recreational Prediction: ULM [-7]. Home-field advantage. Better team. Bowl Record ATS: 8-3

FYI, LA Tech rejected this bowl game, not because of money, but because they took it as an insult that they would have to play ULM. They’re 30 miles from each other, and they act like they’re LT’s red headed stepchild. They act like it would be like Alabama being invited to play UAB.
Plus, the story goes that LT got fucked over by Northern Illinois. They supposedly had a deal with the Liberty, but when OU got locked out of the BCS, every Big 12 team dropped a game and Iowa State was left without a bowl game, so LT got kicked out.

No. I made a healthy profit on my fantasy league this year. Got in and out of the DMV in under 15 minutes today. Not pushing my karma.

I can’t believe I covered that game last night. I deserved that one.

What in the fuck is happening in this game?
December 28th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Not touching anything today. I feel the betting Gods are telling me to stop while I’m behind. That CIN -9.5 cover is going to haunt me for a long time. I wish someone would publish what the odds were for CIN to cover when DUKE had the ball on CIN 4-yd line with 1:15 left.
/prob will take DUKE some time next fall

Apparently two weeks of meth frenzied cousin banging does make for productive bowl preparation.

Remember when Ohio beat Michigan in the tourney last year? That was hilarious.

Funny.
Not sure why, but you reminded me of the original ‘In Laws’ movie with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin. Saw that for the first time not long ago and laughed my ass off.
