My last contract, after about 6 weeks, the work I was doing was not challenging and really not occupying much of my time. I felt bad and told them they needed to get me more work, they kept promising more but I was getting bore and felt terrible burning their cash, so I left – on good terms.

I jumped from that to my current gig, working 60+ billable hours per week minimum and catching constant grief from some Chinese dude that has no idea wtf he’s doing.

I watched much less NBA yesterday than I usually do on Christmas. The Knicks uniforms I found somewhat eye catching, but I only had the game on for about 5 minutes.

I didn’t get to go hunting over the holidays but me bro’in law bought my kid the Cabella’s Big Game Hunt Wii game. My kid and I played that all day yesterday. I’m actually a contractor and the three getting wacked are as well. Company wants me to hop on full-time, but they’re pretty messed up here, so I likely won’t.

I’d take it as a compliment that they want to keep you. I’ve worked with consultants where we counted down the days until their contract was up because they sucked so bad.
