Ballin’: Gerald Henderson Dunked, and Dwight Howard Was in the Vicinity
LA Lakers 101, Charlotte 100: The Lakers only used eight players, Kobe logged 43 minutes, but all anyone wants to talk about is this Gerald Henderson dunk on Dwight Howard. It’s not a true poster because Howard didn’t jump, but it is still impressive. The Lakers, who trailed by 18 in the third quarter, rallied behind Benjamin Button (30 points on 24 shots), Jodie Meeks (five 3-pointers) and Ron Artest (17 points). The Bobcats had four chances to win the game late. Kemba Walker scored 28 for the Bobcats, who have lost 13 straight games.
Toronto 113, Cleveland 99: DeMar DeRozan is explosive, huh? The Raptors must have gotten a wakeup call from Bargnani over the weekend – they’ve won three in a row. Despite Kyrie Iring’s greatness – 9-of-16, 23 points – the Cavaliers still have a lot of work to do. At 5-21, they’re looking at another Top 5 pick.
Utah 92, Brooklyn 90: The Nets blew a 13-point halftime lead and fell to 13-11. What happened to the great bench? Why is Deron Williams shooting 38 percent from the field and 29 percent from deep?
Miami 103, Minnesota 92: LeBron, in 41 minutes: 22 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, no turnovers. Miami, which made 13-of-25 three-pointers, and out-rebounded 53-24, is 16-6.
Golden State 103, New Orleans 96: At 17-8, my Warriors are off to their best start since 1991. What’s not to like about them this year? Jack (16 points, 10 assists) and Carl Landry (16 points, nine rebounds) provide pop off the bench, and rookie Draymond Green is doing everything he did at Michigan State – a little bit of everything (three steals, six rebounds in 23 minutes). Toss in Curry, Klay and Lee … yes, there’s reason to be excited about this team when Bogut returns.
Denver 112, San Antonio 106: Go up and get it, Gallo! Didn’t know he had that rise in him. Tim Duncan’s 31 points, 18 rebounds, six assists and five blocks weren’t enough.

Sorry, but Howard will be on the poster shot of Henderson. Therefore, posterized.

Good effort by Doo-wight on that play.

Man, D’Antoni really does not care for Gasol.
December 19th, 2012 at 11:05 AM
dude knew Henderson was about to color on his face. why
turn that rape into a murderjump to contest the play when he can just let it happen?December 19th, 2012 at 11:06 AM
/Your standard petty bullshit doesn’t work as well this year with him shooting 48%.
December 19th, 2012 at 11:07 AM
Why? What did he say now?

In the spirit of TBL – a dunk video…though this one is by some guy at Auburn you’ve never heard of.

Not a dunk

A buddy at work and I were thinking about adopting the TWolves as our second teams, in large part because they’re both hilarious and fun to watch. I’m curious if anyone here has a problem with this.

Center records triple double but doesn’t dunk. Not worthy of a post with 6 embedded videos.

Chris Porter > that guy

its okay, alternate conference; in fact, it’s healthy in the proper moderation; just remember where your loyalty belongs

I’m a Hawks fan but I definitely keep track of a few other teams. Dallas for Obvious reason, T-Wolves because of Rubio, OKC for Durant. I wouldn’t call myself a fan of any of those teams, but I have League Pass and when I’m not watching the Hawks, I’m definitely checking out those teams games.

agreed.

Denson isn’t the best dunker on Auburn’s team. Not by a long shot. I think Shaq Robinson is better even than Chris Porter.

Good to see it got on youtube so other Auburn fans can see the dunk seeing how there were only 43 people attending the game.

Good Lord
December 19th, 2012 at 11:24 AM
No kidding. We really sucked last year and it’s Christmas break, which are two excuses for why nobody goes, but this team has a chance to be fun to watch, so I’m hoping the attendance figures pick up in January.

sc, noah is going to be at your old workplace tonight for a Score promotion
December 19th, 2012 at 11:28 AM

Ty, do you think they should have gone with Phil?

Ty, do you think they should have gone with Phil?
It didn’t have to be Phil but not sure what they were thinking with the gimmicky perimeter offense when you have two of the best five big men in the game (when healthy). Would have loved someone like Nate McMillan…

How much of the decision went to appeasing Dwight do you think? To me, they had to consider making him happy if they want him to re-sign. Not the final call, just consideration.

Agreed, but putting the whole season on the shoulders of a 40-year old PG who plays zero defense is a little scary
December 19th, 2012 at 11:49 AM
That remains Gerald Henderson’s best dunk all time. Context required: previous play nolan smith was absolutely crushed by a screen that wasn’t called out. He was down for a good five minutes. Next time we got the ball, that happened.
/awaits inevitable Duke mockery.
December 19th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
What’s scary is Jim Buss being involved. Have zero confidence he knows his ass from a hole in the ground. Hopefully Mitch is given the leeway to run the team as he sees fit. I would have also made sure West stayed involved.

From the banhammer to the bandwagon and back.
December 19th, 2012 at 12:53 PM
This just in…the Spurs are tremendously pathetic on defense. Also, it won’t happen, but Avery Johnson should be fired. Williams was right in his criticisms of the offensive scheme, although he had the leverage to implement a more amenable scheme and/or coach during contract negotiations.
December 19th, 2012 at 1:14 PM
They’re a lumbering team that is going to be set up to play offense at break neck speed which means they have to get back on defense. They’re not good enough to outscore the good teams at a high rate.
