That MLB draftee story isn’t really like the headline. He didn’t choose jail over probation. He took a four-year sentence with no probation following over a three-year sentence with seven years probation following. Not a bad idea, actually. With prison overcrowding, it really amounts to probably a few extra months instead of having to jump through probation hoops.

no attorney, but a lender that has to deal with this crap all of the time. remedies to refusal to pay rent should be laid out in the lease they signed. if they werent, you will have to do a little research on actions/remedies in that particular state.

May I suggest Creme Brulee. Easy as heck to make and always goes over well with guests especially when you break out the torch to melt the sugar on top. Its also not very filling which is a plus after a big meal. It also pairs well with some sweet dessert wine.

Rex I would call the sheriff’s department where the tenant lives and ask them if they can help. They can probably tell you what the process is for the state but what they’ll tell you most likely is to start the eviction process, give written warning of the start of eviction, then have the sheriffs serve notice. That would be my advice, they handle that kind of thing in most places (the early non-court stage).

nog – vary the booze as appropriate; keep the dark rum, go more bourbon if no cognac; you are going to do a lot of whipping on this.
6 eggs, separated
3/4 cups superfine sugar
2 cups whole milk
3 cupss heavy cream
1.5 cups bourbon
1/4 cup dark rum
1 cup cognac
Freshly grated nutmeg
Directions
In a very large bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and pale yellow. Gradually add sugar to yolks. With a wire whisk, beat in milk and 1 quart cream. Add bourbon, rum, and cognac, stirring constantly.
Just before serving, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into mixture. Whip remaining 1/2 quart heavy cream until stiff, and fold in. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

it’s a world hall, so I wouldn’t have somuch an issue with his lack of pga tour wins given he has a shitload of euro orders or merit; the no-majors is an issue; the golf HOF has always been pretty clearly on on the “big hall” side of the scale, so I wouldnt say it’s too suprising; Couples getting in was the canary in the coalmine for this sort of thing;
ive recently vowed to not get to worked up anymore about these mvp/HOF wiiners/losers/inclusions/exclusions – but I am okay with it, given they clearly have the big-hall mentality; that all said, I think Monty is pretty hilarious and given that owns up to his quirks, I find him pretty engaging.
