What was the deal with McDaniels in DEN? That 2nd year shit hit the fan, right.

After 6 games in his first year. Smoke and mirrors offense that lived off bubble screens and pick plays, couldn’t run 2 yards for a 1st if they devoted an entire series to it. Raging child on the sidelines.

Fell in love with Tebow because he was so sure — sure! — of his own abilities as a QB coach that he thought he could make the kid unlearn everything he’d learned as a QB, ever. Drafted a blocking TE with a 2nd rounder. Tried cheating and couldn’t even fucking do that right. Also: Tebow.

IIRC, Saban was pretty funny in that Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode featuring the “jury of the damned.” (“The Devil and Homer Simpson”?)

You make the mistake of assuming he has human emotion.

Just as a visceral, instant reaction to this comment, I don’t know how many NFL head coaches have the amount of power in their jobs that Nick Saban has in his current gig, but I doubt it’s very many.

This is true, but he’s a big fish in a small pond. Needs to have success outside of the minor leagues if he wants to be regarded as great

It’s cool Stark I know you like U guys, I wasnt even trying to be sarcastic there. I realize the Clowns dont get on TV a lot. Benjamin is like a lot of Bronws being forced to do too much at this point in their careers due to the overall youth on the roster. He has his place on the 53-man and would be a good #4 WR one day. Using things like fake reveres with him to keep the DE’s and OLB from crashing the line to create more holes for Trent Richardson, things like that he has real value.

Have you even seen Gordon play?I have. I actually go out of my way to watch the Browns when they're on (you never know what you'll get in L.A.) because I like ~~to be whipped and ball-gagged and Browns football is a natural extension of those activities~~ Trent Richardson and I grew up with an affinity for Cleveland (Starkweather Ave represent!). I like him. I just like Benjamin better. You're ignoring the part where I acknowledge Gordon is a better player. I'm not arguing, I just like Benjamin better.

Alex Smith has actually been pretty damn good as a FB. When they finally quit with Marecic and put Smith in there, that coincided with some improvement on offense. Marecic might be out of the NFL next year. Stone hands.
