Providence College Blocked Off 26 Seats in Touching Tribute to Newtown Victims
All, Awesome, College Basketball December 18th. 2012, 10:32pm
Providence College played host to Colgate on Tuesday night in men’s hoops, winning handily by a score of 79-45, but that nugget of information matters little to most of us. What will interest you is the thoughtful tribute seen above, as the school opted to block off 26 seats at the game to honor the 26 Newtown victims. A seemingly simple gesture, but awfully powerful. Well done, Providence.

They also wore special green uniforms to honor the victims.
Also, five star freshman Kris Dunn made his debut and had 13 assists. They’ve been playing with 5 or 6 scholarship players all year but may end up on the bubble with Council, Dunn and Sidiki Johnson added to the mix.
