Jovan Belcher Had Told Another Girlfriend That He Would Shoot Kasandra Perkins If She Did Not Leave Him Alone
The case investigating the murder-suicide of Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins has been closed, and the police record is now public, with additional details from the Kansas City Star. Among those details is that Jovan Belcher had sent a text to what is described as “a secret girlfriend” less than two months earlier saying he would shoot Kasandra Perkins if she did not leave him alone. (It is not clear whether this is the same girlfriend he was with the night before the murder).
Belcher also told the other “secret” girlfriend that Perkins knew how to push his buttons and that she had threatened to take his money and their child if they split.
Additional details about the relationship were also revealed, including that Belcher had blamed his absence at a team meeting on Perkins a couple of weeks earlier, claiming that she had stayed out late and he had to watch his child.
The rest of the reports are consistent with what has come out in bits in the days that followed, from the number of times that Perkins was shot by Belcher (one bullet went through to the basement, the final report says), to his journey to Arrowhead. Once there, Romeo Crennel pleaded with him before Belcher killed himself, “You’re taking the easy way out!”

Seems like a good dude. Worthy of honoring in the locker room and on t-shirts.

Huh, so the murdering asshole is even more of an asshole than previously thought. Fuck this guy and anyone in the Chiefs who thought it was a good idea to “honor” this POS in the locker room during that game. That still bothers the hell out of me.

This guy sounds like an asshole, but the girlfriend he killed doesn’t seem like a saint either. Sounds like she was a gold-digger. Like Chris Rock said, I’m not saying he should have killed her, but I understand

Come on, Kaiser. That’s an atrocious statement even for a Hitler Youth like yourself.

They wanted him on the sidelines during the game, but the smell…

I was semi-kidding. Of course he shouldn’t have killed her. But going by that article and just that article alone, she does sound like a gold-digger.

WOW!!! horrible, but good god man, phenomenal.

I’ll play: Belcher’s corpse is still a better sideline option that Romeo Crennel.
December 18th, 2012 at 11:18 AM
I bet the Chiefs fans wish Crennel thought about taking the easy way out

Chiefs should follow WWE lead in dealing with Chris Benoit.

There’s nothing good about this story. Moving on.

Is it just me, or does telling Belcher that he was “taking the easy way out” seem like the exact wrong thing to say? “Hey, he’s right, this is the easy way, I won’t have to worry about any of this any longer!”

I’m going to step on the 4th and 1/ punt punchline, because I can’t craft the joke. If I can’t have it, none of you can have it.

Stop trying to orphan your daughter you fucking cunt and lets go have a whiskey.

Too bad this is real life and not a tv show where people can easily look at one dimensional characters and make the easy compmartmentalizing of good and evil. This guy made a horrific decision where he took 2 lives, leaving his child parentless, and his mother in the unenvialbe situation of dealing with the parents and family of the daughter her son murdered. But the circumstances surrounding this story have been written 1000 times throughout this country without the glare provided from the NFL. Immaturity, inexperience, antagonism, a child, etc. It’s a sad story that gets even sadder.
