London Fletcher’s Family Members Attacked By Browns Fans, Arrested, Aunt Has Heart Attack
London Fletcher is from Cleveland. His family was in attendance sporting Redskins jerseys for yesterday’s Washington-Cleveland game. A fight broke out, security broke out the tasers and three family members ended up in handcuffs while another went to the hospital. From NewsNet5:
Two of Fletcher’s cousins, Hasaan Robinson and Douglas Robinson, were arrested by Tenable Security officers, along with an 18-year-old nephew of the Redskins linebacker according to the family. NewsChannel 5 has reached out to the Cleveland Police Department and Tenable Security and neither has yet to release any names or reports.
Nita Ashford, a Cleveland school teacher and a relative of Fletcher, told NewsChannel5 that her family was attacked by angry Browns fans as the family left Sunday’s game. During the attack, Fletcher’s aunt, 57-year-old-Evette Robinson, suffered a heart attack and was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where her condition at this time is still unknown.
Cleveland sounds delightful. The Redskins beat the Browns 38-17.
This fight took place at the game and has someone in a Fletcher jersey in handcuffs.

Every browns game I ever attended, no matter the opponent, featured a minimum of one huge, in-bleacher brawls. The entire crowd would stop and watch the stands instead of the (shitty) game.
Steelers games it happened all the time.

That’s fockin bullshit. Another reason, in a long list of why NOT to got to an NFL game. Such a shame.

How does this: “London Fletcher’s Family Members Attacked By Browns Fans” equal this: “A fight broke out, security broke out the tasers and three family members ended up in handcuffs while another went to the hospital.”?

I blame John Madden Football ’92.

Cleveland Browns stadium is not pleasant place to be if you are a fan of the opposing team. Especially in the Muni lot. People are real fucking dickheads up there and really don’t give a fuck if you’re with your wife or kids. I’m all for a little heckling of opposing fans but these drunk idiots take it to another level. Part of the reason I don’t go to games and would rather park my ass on the couch in front of the NFL ticket every Sunday.

Yes Nita, typically when one side attacks the other it’s usually the victims who are arresed and tased.

Another win for the city of Cleveland.

Doesn’t justify it but you’ve made yourself a target by wearing the opposing team’s jersey, colors, etc. I don’t wear UVA colors to Blacksburg and I don’t wear Cowboy colors to ‘Skins cames, even though I only go to each loacle to watch UVA or Dallas. Got better things to do than scrap with some underemployed drunk that thinks Football and your fanhood is the end all be all of life.

Headline says “London Fletcher’s Family Members Attacked By Browns Fans, Arrested, Aunt Has Heart Attack” and then the family member says it was the schwag security guys who were physical……hmmm? Are they Browns fans?

cleveland strikes me a lot like oakland, but more white. nuke the city and property values would skyrocket.

Retarded fans aside, thought it was a good game. Shocked Cousins played as well as he did and the Skins D actually made a few plays. Thank you Falcons. Steelers, thanks for playing. Enjoy watching the playoffs on TV.

A little premature, don’t you think? They still control their own situation…win out and they’re in.

I went to the Steelers Browns game (in Cleveland) in full Steelers gear and was actually surprised how well I was treated. An occasional comment but not much else. I was shocked, but I’m sure there were fights there as well.
I can also assure you that the fan behavior at Heinz Field is horrible as well. I used to go to at least 4 home games per year and haven’t gone yet this year. If that cocksucker Goodell wants to fix anything about his beloved league, he should start with the fan experience at games. It’s a joke.

I know. I don’t think they will beat Cincym and probably will lose to the Browns again. They just aren’t very good.
