Victor Cruz Wearing the Name Jack Pinto, a Huge Fan of His Who Was Murdered in Newtown, on His Cleats
One of Victor Cruz’ biggest fans was Jack Pinto, one of the first graders murdered in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. The Giants will be wearing the initials of the school on their helmet today, and Cruz has written the above message on his shoes for today’s game: “Jack Pinto, ‘My Hero’” and “R.I.P. Jack Pinto”

Good on you Victor. Also, go ahead Roger, fine him for not following the NFL fashionista rules, I dare you. You’ll be picking up your teeth off the floor with broken fingers. Metaphorically, of course.

Der Fuhrer will probably lay a $15k fine on him for it

Was it Roethlisberger who was fined for a religious message? I’m sure Goodell will let Cruz slide, but it shows how ridiculous the policy is that Goodell is the arbiter of what speech is acceptable. O, wait, it’s not ridiculous because I forgot he is God of the NFL

Is it wrong to think writing someone’s name on your shoe is kinda tacky?
Other than a fine, would have there been major issues had he put “Pinto” on the back if his jersey instead of “Cruz”?

Many of the players were doing it today so I am sure the NFL is not caring in light of what happened. Also, the giants are wearing a sticker of the school logo on the helmets
