Here’s a crowd shot of the New Mexico Bowl between Arizona and Nevada. Two teams within easy (relatively) travel distance. Bowl Season.

If football is played in the western United States without SC, does it really happen?

Wiki claims that’s a 40k capacity stadium, I can only assume they’re counting the grass areas as well?

Knock about 10 bowl games off the schedule. Either that or play almost all of the lesser bowl games at the school with the better record.

never change, duff. never change.
i’d be all for contracting a dozen or more bowls and giving all teams to practice through the title game.
sc – weren’t the trojans supposed to host the next dozen or so championship games?

“Easy travel distance” ??? Reno, Nv. to the New Mexico Bowl, 1020 miles, You callin that easy travel distance?

The Trojans weren’t supposed to hire Lane Kiffin either, so things don’t always go as they should. I wouldn’t call the UA loss an upset either, though I know SC was wrongly -3 at the time.
I’ll absorb the anti-SC barbs until the Kiffin era ends. Then, once a competent coach is hired, I’ll go back to enjoying raiding Arizona for it’s best high school players and beating both state schools by four touchdowns.

jokes on you there! arizona doesn’t have any good high school players!
i don’t shoot barbs until one of their fans unnecessarily pimp walks after a 5 loss season.
good luck in the sun bowl

I don’t think you understand. No SC person expects anything from the Kiffin era, so we cannot be offended in this regard. However, SC remains the only program with a fan base west of Texas. Enjoy our down time, little brother
/laughs about being arrogant SC football guy
//realizes the arrogance is completely justified
