They aren’t great perimeter defenders, and I would expect the no. 1 team in the country with seasoned players to command the final minutes of regulation and overtime. They didn’t. They committed 4 turnovers in OT and the last 2 minutes of regulation. I expect they’ll improve in that arena; however, Butler exposed their weakness defending the perimeter and unless the team has a sudden transformation that will be a weakness all year. This shortcoming will probably increase the number of fouls Zeller gets whistled for which will compound the problem. IU could be like recent year Duke teams. Preseason number one, great regular season record, conference champion, and eliminated in the Sweet Sixteen by a more athletic squad.
