Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Toledo vs. Utah State
Bowl: Famous Idaho Potato
Toasting Town: Boise, Idaho
Vintage: 1997
No Shame: Neither of these teams lost a game by more than a touchdown this season. Utah State lost twice: 16-14 at Wisconsin on a missed field goal and 6-3 at BYU. Toledo lost to Arizona on the road in overtime and two seven-point games to nine-win Ball State and Orange Bowl-bound Northern Illinois.
Quarterback Controversy: Toledo quarterbacks Austin Dantin and Terrance Owens have been battling each other for the quarterback job since 2010. Owens started much of the season, though in the final game against Akron Dantin completed 29/35 for 327 yards and five touchdowns. Expect to see both.
Staying: Gary Andersen was expected to be a hot coaching commodity, with jobs at Cal and Colorado open. He decided to stay at Utah State.
Ticket Sales: Toledo only sold around 300 tickets for this game, though, to be fair, Toledo fans had two weeks notice. The bowl game will not require Toledo to buy up its remaining allotment (what a novel concept).
Recreational Prediction: Utah State (-10.5).

Valdosta St faked a punt on 4&4 at midfield, up 28-7 with 10 mins left in the game. Wow

Took TOL +10.5, to many pts to pass up. Too bad about Molls there, their leading tackler. Read about him all week and how he lead the nation in tackles. Back to the AZ/NEV game, you got fire your def. Coord. After the game right? Or at least the head coach has got to get up in front of the press and say he focked up. I didn’t bet that game, but that have been a big boost for the NEV program to beat a Pac12 team. Unfree akin real. 14 pts in 90 seconds

Gotcha KC. I watched about 10 minutes to the start of the game and essentially the last 5 minutes. Seems as though I tuned in at a good time, getting a little bummed about college football coming to an end. Don’t know what I’ll bet in the winter, beside the nfl in the January. My college bball prognostication so far sucks.
