Every day I read the comments on websites/blogs and there is always this anti-American sentiment there in the comments, usually by our own citizens, who I feel are conditioned to think this way by media and social platforms. It gets very tiresome.

Our education system is the best in the world. Unfortunately, this country has such acute poverty in our inner-cities that education there is almost non-existant. This leads to millions of (almost always minority) students who “drag down” our national test scores and the perception of our nation’s education system. Indeed this a tragedy, mainly for these poor kids with no education and no chance. But do not be confused- the vast majority of Americans are getting the best education in the world, especially if you live in a middle or high-income area.
