Ohio State resorting to monitoring students’ finances only testifies to the lengths schools and the NCAA are willing to go to keep the faltering “amateur” regime intact.

I think it more speaks to Ohio State making damn sure the next time they go 12-0 they get to play for something…

When I was in school, they were shutting down a few of the greek homes om campus as part of this major egress/routing/parking project. So those addresses were becoming obsolete. Guys I knew ordered hundreds of Columbia House & BMI CDs and crap under phony names then bolted for the summer. The addresses didn’t exist within weeks of school ending.

My college screwed up a database and listed the student ID numbers of every student on the website. These were tied to meal plans. We had a pizzeria on campus that you could call and give your ID number and have the pizza charged to your account, shockingly there was not much oversight in this system. Boom free pizza for life!

We do this. Like a town set up in gym and kids go around buying house/car/entertainment. Figure out what’s important. It’s funny when the low income students on food stamps who shouldn’t be think they can buy what they want finally figure out what is really important.
