Baseball being a sport that falls more to chance than basketball doesn’t make the MLB playoffs any better than the NBA, just different. There is more value in the NBA season, where homecourt matters more in the playoffs, than any of the other big 4 sports.

Mavs were pretty lightly regarded a couple years ago when they won. Although they were still (I think) a 3 seed and obviously had been good in prior years. Pistons I think were also a 3 in 2004 when they were huge underdogs against the Lakers. But whatever I agree with what you’ve said pretty much.
