Frank Gore Wore a Shirt With an Upside Down, Dead Dolphins’ Logo After San Francisco Beat Miami
The 49ers beat the Dolphins yesterday. After the game, Frank Gore was seen wearing a sweatshirt with the Dolphins logo upside down with X’s over its eyes. According to Gore, this was more than a political message about tuna. It was just a shirt he bought earlier this year that he waited to debut at the Dolphins game. I feel like this would have been an awkward choice had the 49ers lost. Even with the win, it’s pretty damn awkward considering the NFL has lost 3 players in the last 2 weeks.

Seriously, a dead cartoon dolphin? That is what I’m supposed to be outraged/uncomfortable about now? I love it.

Leave the speculating up to the writers, Joe.

i feel like the dui death of this past weekend got a lot less coverage than the belcher situation. no reason, really. murder, manslaughter, which could be called murder when you toss in the drinking. we’re short a suicide, i understand

The level of insensitivity in this world is ridiculous. Can’t we just have some perspective.
December 10th, 2012 at 11:07 AM
DUI’ing isnt exactly uncommon in the league, murder is

it really can’t be called murder since there was no conscious intent to kill his buddy.

The Belcher situation was like some kind of crazy CW’s “The Game”/Lifetime combo movie, while plenty of NFL players have had DUI manslaughter convictions in recent history.
December 10th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
Now I want to show you something Mrs. Gore. This is normal……Now Frank is right here…….The state requires a minimum I.Q. of 80 to attend public school. He is going to have to attend a special school.

I bet he saw the shirt, realized they were playing the Dolphins this season and said “Hey that would be cool to wear after we beat the Dolphins I should get that.” Serendipity and nothing more.

I’d suggest it was dying sport but I don’t want that to be connected belatedly to the deaths of Malik Sealy or Eddie Griffin.

jeffery who looked good until he dropped a td pass yesterday. if they can get an OC and an O-line, that bears offense might be good someday, like when cutler has dementia. marshall is amazing and he dropped a key pass too

Trent Richarson called him the fastet football player he’s seen in person. Nice potential as return man. Godawful receiver who gets pushed off his rights every time and makes zero effort to get fight for ball.

Shawshank is overrated, wasnt as good as Pulp Fiction either
Has anyone tried to make this argument? Shawshank is a fantastic movie and I think is rated quite properly. But I think most people realize that Pulp Fiction, which continues to hold up very well going on 19 years after it came out, is a top 20 all time movie.
December 10th, 2012 at 12:11 PM

They only take into consideration the votes of regular users though, and it has close to a million votes. It’s a flawed system, but the overexposure of that movie thanks to TNT really inflates its value.

Completely agree. But I don’t think, based on that one metric, it’s fair to say that the movie is overrated. It IS fair to say that it’s overrated by the mouth breathers on IMDB though.
