Yeah – I’m lazy. But only in the sense that RG3′s stats will be closer to Vick’s 2nd year in the league (full season as a starter), rather than his rookie league. My bad. They have no similarities whatsoever.

You’re either lazy or you’re a dumb Falcons attempting to fit your disdain for Michael Vick into a conversation about RGIII. Are you saying that because RGIII and Michael Vick have similar numbers in their first year as starters that RGIII will experience a decline in the next few years because Vick experienced this decline? Does having the same stats mean they have the same study habits and level of maturity at the same stage? Do those attributes have nothing to do with the development of a player?

RGIII vs Fran Tark in a race… I’m taking RGIII, even with the knee injury. “Running QB” isn’t the same as “game-changing speed/athleticism” QB. Settle down Darrell.

They don’t have to race, they just have to scramble. In that case they’re similar.

RG3 is far more accurate, though.

The RGIII–Vick comparison is obviously appropriate and not based on race.. They’re both super athletic QBs who wrecked shop in college and put on the same sort of show upon reaching the NFL. Squawk is saying they’re different in that RGIII is a character guy, not likely to be arrested and sentenced to prison. But that the distinction won’t matter given that a few years of NFL hits will deprive RGIII of that athleticism—injuries and natural wear and tear will have their effect.
Race wasn’t remotely involved in his comparison. Sure, they’re both black, but that doesn’t mean comparisons between them are based on race. RGIII could only possibly be compared to a few MNFL quarterbacks ever to play in the NFL. Vick is one of them.

RGIII came into the NFL as a more accomplished passer than Vick by far. The only comparison to them is they’re athletic and Black. It was a lazy comparison made by an idiot Falcons fan who swung and missed at trying to make a point. The bottom line is until the chosen one currently QB’ing for the Falcons wins a playoff game, he won’t be as accomplished for the Falcons as Vick. Also, get rid of the intellecutal laziness and look for QB’s like Young, Staubach, Fran Tarkenton, to compare RGIII to, each who entered the league as running QB’s. Or damn, if it has to be by race, at least Randall Cunningham.

Manziel plays just like RG3 and Vick. Figure that one out dhardway.

Stop trying to inject race into every possible topic, even when it is not remotely related.
