The Lomardi to CLE as puppet GM under Banner has been out there for over a month and has been reported by a # of outlets, including several CLE outlets, CBS (LaConfara) and Pro Football Weekly (Arkush). LaConfara on CLE radio this week said Saban and McDaniels were the two coaching targets if Shurmur is terminated.

The Lombardi hire of GM would be a mistake of colossal proportions. He has been a failure at analyzing NFL potential, although he has a good memory of data/metrics.

This would completely destroy all the momentum built and be a huge steaming dump by the Haslam ownership. FUCK.

I have a hard time believing that Saban would leave Alabama for friggin Cleveland no matter who the GM is. If we’re going this road though, might as well say “TEBOW TO CLEVELAND???” since McDaniels would be in play for HC.

Vikings have plenty of money to throw his way too. He’s not going anywhere.

The part of the article that I found the most interesting (and most depressing) is that the Patriots might dump Wes Welker and make a serious, cash money run at free agent to be Percy Harvin.
