This talk about whether Amar’e can fit in is just like the talk last year about whether Melo could fit in with the lineup. Except that this year, at least the question about Amar’e fitting in is based on playing with established players and not a bum assed, one handed, flash in the pan point guard. The Knicks biggest concern isn’t how to fit him in, it’s whether or not he will stay healthy enough for the season to plan around. Also, the age factor is overblown. Camby doesn’t play, Thomas plays limited minutes as does Rasheed, which will be further limited once Stoudamire returns. Shumpert’s return will limit Kidd’s minutes to where he is fresh at the end of games.

Of the dinosaurs, Kidd is really the only one that’s integral to any playoff run aspirations (and maybe Sheed to a lesser extent). I really hope his back can hold up.

I fucking love this team. I love them so much. Amare and Shump cant get back soon enough. Not on a “We need them to be good” level but a “We need some depth” level. But man… that was good television last night.
