NFL Most Valuable Player Race 2012: Wide Open Between Manning, Brady, Rodgers, RGIII and . . . Adrian Peterson
Last year, Aaron Rodgers ran away with the Most Valuable Player Award. At a time when Drew Brees was on his way to the all-time yardage title, Rodgers was the clear choice based on past voter behavior and his play. Rodgers was the leader in the categories that have historically corresponded best with MVP awards, ranking in passer rating and adjusted net yards per attempt, followed by touchdowns and yards per attempt. It was so clear cut last year that it led to a cottage industry of seeing who could outdo each other in naming a ridiculous MVP. Remember when Gregg Doyel said Tebow should be a candidate?
This year, though, the buzz has been reduced. This year, though, there are way more reasonable candidates because no one is on their way to a 50 TD season. No one is a clear cut favorite. I think the candidates are down to five names based on past behavior of voters: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Robert Griffin III, and Adrian Peterson.
I went through, for the quarterbacks, other seasons that were most similar, and then pulled the MVP years on the list amount the twenty most similar passing years (so this does not include Griffin’s rushing, something that has traditionally not been a factor for quarterbacks in MVP consideration).
Here are the number of MVP’s who had similar years (out of 20) to each candidate.
Peyton Manning: (3) Brian Sipe in 1980, Joe Montana in 1990, Peyton Manning in 2003. Manning currently leads in touchdown passes and is in a virtual dead heat for passer rating and adjusted net yards per attempt. He also has the comeback factor and taking a new team to a 10-3 record at this point, and I think he’s the favorite with four weeks left.
Tom Brady: (2) Brian Sipe in 1980, Peyton Manning in 2003. Brady is having a similar statistical year to Manning, so it’s no surprise they share the same previous winners. It is pretty awesome to see that Brian Sipe season show up. That was a year with the Cardiac Kids in Cleveland, where Sipe put up similar rate stats to Manning and Brady while also winning several close games.
Aaron Rodgers: (1) Brett Favre in 1996. Pretty funny that the only MVP similar season to Rodgers belonged to the man he replaced. Rodgers currently has a slight lead in passer rating, but his touchdown rate and yards per attempt are low compared to most MVP candidates with 4 games left.
Robert Griffin III: (1) Rich Gannon in 2002. Gannon’s 2002 season isn’t that similar, and obviously RGIII is doing it in a different offense. Gannon’s rate stats were more similar, but he threw it a ton. Griffin also runs the ball and his rushing contribution is a wildcard here. Ken Anderson’s 1975 season, when he was not selected but could have been, also shows up. Anderson, like Robert Griffin III this year, ran an offense that was unusual for the NFL.
Adrian Peterson: (3) Walter Payton in 1977, Shaun Alexander in 2005, LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006. Three of the top twenty rushing yardage seasons since the merger have resulted in a running back being named MVP. Of course, Alexander and Tomlinson also broke touchdowns records. Peterson has eight this year. On the other hand, he has the factor that he is coming back from a knee injury. He is on pace right now to finish with just below 2,000 yards. If he crosses it, he will get a boost.
Many of the comparables for our other candidates show up in years when other running backs run it, particularly in 2005 and 2006. If the quarterbacks split votes amongst each other, I wouldn’t rule out Peterson getting the award while getting less than a majority of the votes.
Still four weeks to go, and at least five candidates with a case based on where they are now, and past voter behavior. Unlike last year, it really is up for grabs, and someone can have their MVP moment in December.

How did those JJ Watt – Alan Page (or LT) comps look?
Unfortunately, he’s got no shot.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:18 PM
No, no, no, no. He should not even be in the conversation.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM
What the fuck is RGIII doing in the MVP conversation? Has the whole world gone topsy turvy?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM
Yeah I dont see them giving it to a running back on a losing team, unless he ends up with some really historic numbers by the end. Definitely between Manning and Brady yet Rodgers could sneak in there if they falter.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:20 PM
The more interesting race will be between Manning and Peterson for Comeback POY
December 7th, 2012 at 2:20 PM
Needs more Luck
December 7th, 2012 at 2:20 PM
It should be Manning. Peterson played most of last season.

Jim Harbaugh isn’t on this either?

Manti Te’o. book it.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:23 PM
listen, if Manti Te’o can be a heisman finalist than anything is possible
December 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Cam Newton.
- Jason Lisk
December 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Yeah, all he does is run the most productive unit in pro football.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
I agree as well, but would guess Manning wins MVP and Peterson wins comeback POY.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Needs more Luck
I think Luck has been amazing in pulling out wins. I don’t think he in anyway resembles anyone that has come close to winning the MVP award. Below average in passer rating, average in ANYA, I can explain flaws and how he is better than that, but the award voting generally mirrors guys ranked highly in those categories.

Leads the league in magical cancer hero stats though.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:26 PM
I like what RG3 has done, but I don’t think he’s in the MVP conversation. Not this year, anyway.
MVP is Peyton Manning and AD should get comeback player of the year. To have the kind of year for a running back after that injury is just amazing.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
I see what you did there.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Agreed. The Colts have one player who deserves genuine MVP consideration, depending on how he finishes the season. That player is Reggie Wayne.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Matt Ryan
-every sports talk host in Atlanta
Based on his play recently and the 5 INT game, I would say very little chance. He is way behind the others in efficiency at the moment, and arguably has the best targets to throw to.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
So he disrespected your son. Did you happen top overhear anything he may have said?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Did he say Color Newton or Cum Newton?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:28 PM
I agree as well, but would guess Manning wins MVP and Peterson wins comeback POY.
Did we have this discussion here? How can Peterson comeback if he didn’t miss any games last year? I know what he’s doing is incredible, and maybe this is an argument of semantics, but still.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:30 PM
Maybe he’s a victim of his own success, but this year has looked the most off he’s been in a while. Missing some open receivers, bad sacks and bad throws (mostly in the early part of the year).
December 7th, 2012 at 2:30 PM
Whoever among Brady, Manning, Rodgers, etc. can lose their grandma and girlfriend between now and the end of the season becomes the frontrunner?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:30 PM
So this Anderson guy ran a high school looking offense too?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:30 PM
Peterson played in 12 games last year. He finished the year on IR.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:31 PM
Peterson averaging six yards per carry and approaching 2,000 yards this close to an ACL/MCL tear is remarkable, but we’ve seen players come back from that injury to play at a high level before. Manning having one of his best year after four neck surgeries, when some said he may have to retire, and moving to a new team, gives him the slight edge, in my opinion.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:31 PM
You need to get Ray Murda on his ass.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Peterson played in 12 games last year. He finished the year on IR
I thought his injury was later in the year. I was thinking 15.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
If you mean ‘we’ generally then maybe, but I don’t think I have. I don’t think comeback POY requires sometime to miss time the previous year. I’m not really sure what the criteria are other than ‘coloring back’ from something, but since the national media has deemed it between Manning and Peterson at this point, then yeah I think he can definitely win the award.
Also, did he not miss games last year? Stats I just looked at only had him playing 12 games but I don’t really remember how it went down with him last year.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Brady’s color has been pretty potent recently
December 7th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
Wow. Flashback. My memory of him is throwing that INT in the end zone and losing the playoff game to the Raiders.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
Luckily Manning also looked kinda shitty early in the year, though
December 7th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
Mike NYC’s head just exploded
If I had a vote, it would go to AP.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
In order: Manning, Peterson, Rodgers, Brady, Griffin, a few hundred players, Palmer.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:34 PM
I don’t remember what was unique about Kenny Anderson’s Bengal offense, other than that Isaac Curtis was a stud?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:35 PM
It was…that was a misleading stat. He missed other games earlier in the year. Tore his ACL/MCL on Christmas Eve.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:35 PM
There is zero chance Peterson gets it. Just being realistic. Peyton gets it after the Broncos finish 13-3. AD gets the consolation prize of Comeback Player of the Year.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:36 PM
I’m probably being overly critical, but as a Pats fan, this has been the first year that I can tell Brady is on the downside of his career.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:36 PM
The whole read option thing makes me think about how the Wildcat was going to be the new NFL phenomenon when the Dolphins rode it to the playoffs. Now look at where the wildcat is. NFL defenses always adjust. It may not be this year, it may not be next year but they will shut down the read option eventually. If the Redskins try to keep running this offense they will fail in the long run. Need to let RGIII become a little more traditional without taking away his running ability.
Also, how is RGIII an MVP candidate when he rarely if ever throws the ball over 15 yards? All of his YPA is inflated by run after the catch.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:36 PM
The 1865 MVP race was down to Lincoln and Grant, until Booth just fucked it all up.
/ Wonder if Kobe knew that?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:37 PM
They had Charlie Joiner as well on those teams.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
I don’t remember what was unique about Kenny Anderson’s Bengal offense, other than that Isaac Curtis was a stud?
They were the first team to run the “West Coast” offense.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
It is a crime against humanity that Namath and Aikman are in the HOF and Anderson is not.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
I think both he and Manning both look poor compared to Rodgers and, say, Luck in that neither can really evade interior pressure the way those two do and still fire bullets. Either one is deserving, though. Again, I’d give a slight edge to Manning for moving to a new team. For a guy who is as precision based as he is and not a physical freak, that has to be pretty hard to deal with.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:39 PM
Kenny Anderson definitely belongs in the HoF.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:39 PM
Might be getting there. One thing about this year(maybe last year too) that I havent liked is his pre ducking from pressure that doesn’t really exist. Seems to have gotten better at that later in the season though, don’t know if that comes with more confidence in his line.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:40 PM
Bill Walsh was in Cincy till 1976.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:40 PM
Luck and Matt Ryan are more deserving than RG3. This is coming from a Redskin fan
December 7th, 2012 at 2:41 PM

Good to see the old white QB over black WR thing is healthy.
Also the first hit for Luck was Adam Schein, one of the voters, saying he’s voting for Luck.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:41 PM
So you’re saying that Anderson was a system QB like Montana and Young?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:42 PM
If Megatron breaks Rice’s record does he become a viable candidate?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:42 PM
Has everyone here lost their mind? What about a 102.6 PR suggests a “downside”? A 0.87 INT%? Or the fact that by this season’s end Brady will have four 500 point offenses to his credit (Kurt Warner, in 2nd place, has half as many)? I’ll take an “off” Brady over anyone else, thanks.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:43 PM
A bit off topic, but I’d vote for Brandon Moore’s ass as Defensive Player of the Year.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:43 PM
Peterson needs to get some sort of award. Fantasy MVP? Bo Jackson award for being the freakiest of freaks?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:43 PM
Holy. Shit. Manti Te’o
ManTI(M) TE’(b)’O(w)
Man, Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow will win MVP.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:44 PM
I got a good belly laugh from this asinine statement
December 7th, 2012 at 2:44 PM
I’m an Eagles fan. I can’t scoff at “system” quarterbacks that have actual Super Bowls.
Anderson was a pretty accurate passer who was as good or better than many QBs in his era. I think he belongs in the HoF, but lack of team success hurts him, I think.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:44 PM
How fucking annoying when writers come out with this shit before the season is over, just to have something to write about or get their name out there.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
Manning. Game over. Can’t wait to see him go back into NE in the divisional round, the best weekend of the year.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
This is all moot. I mean at this point we’re assuming it’s Josh Hamilton’s award to lose, right?
December 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
Well played, sir.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
Solid discourse. Good contribution.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:46 PM
OPOY.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:47 PM
Relax, dude. Nobody here is saying he should be cut. Like I said above, he’s a victim of his success. He looked invincible for 2-3 years, and now he tries to force some balls in spots he shouldn’t, and seems to get flustered with guys coming up the middle. It’s just how things are.

Have to look at this in context of what routes he throwing, too. Big reason why RGIII has thrown so few picks and even more reason why Rodgers’ 2011 season was so terrific.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:52 PM
Exactly. Also why Luck has throw a lot of ints
December 7th, 2012 at 2:54 PM
You should see the All-22 look of their route trees. He rarely has a checkdown or a hot read, almost everyone is at least 10 yards downfield before their pattern breaks.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:55 PM
Dude just revealed he is a Redskins fan, earlier this week claimed to be a Red Sox fan, and is apparently a USC fan. So, yeah about what you might expect in the discourse department.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:58 PM
That’s the sorriest possible excuse for him to “not even be in the conversation”.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:59 PM
I know, I’m agreeing with you that Luck throws downfield as much as anyone.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:59 PM
LOL. There is no claimed. I am a Red Sox fan
December 7th, 2012 at 3:01 PM
Where’d you grow up, SC? Your teams are all over the map…
December 7th, 2012 at 3:02 PM
From CT, which explains the Celtics, Sox, and semi-Patriots fandom. Always been a Redskins fan b/c of family, and SC is my alma mater
December 7th, 2012 at 3:02 PM
Manning wins it, deservedly or not. Their sched gets them a shot at #1 AFC seed. If RGIII wins the East, I’d love to see him get some traction.
Skins were my division pick before the season. http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/08/17/for-nine-straight-years-an-nfl-team-has-gone-from-last-place-to-1st-place-who-does-it-in-2012/

December 7th, 2012 at 3:07 PM
I love Peyton Manning and he’s having a great year. But this 8 game win streak is a bit of a mirage when you look at who they beat. He’s an MVP candidate but by no means a lock.
Rodgers has no chance at MVP b/c the Packers are worse than last year, but I think he’s the best QB in the league right now. He’s got 29 TD and 8 INT with no Greg Jennings and no running game.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:08 PM
The Lions have too many losses. He should be in the top five, but that team is an abortion. They’re still really bad without all his receiving yards.
Oh well, at least he’s on the calendar cover …
December 7th, 2012 at 3:09 PM
I don’t think another QB wins it over Manning. Media people are idiots, and Manning has the name and the story. A vote for Manning = more puff pieces to write.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:11 PM
Also consider his TE injuries, his WR personnel, and now Edelman going down. That team would be poop if it wasn’t for Brady. Oh, and the injuries on the OL as well. Yes he is on the slow decline but him holding that offense together. He definitely deserves to be in the convo. Manning should win CPOY without question.
And I didn’t realize that WWOS took over St. Bear’s account for this thread.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:13 PM
I haven’t seen the Pats much this year, but I’m fine with Brady… I think their play-calling hasn’t helped him out late in games. I’d like to see Brady just go with more slow-no-huddle, and get back to the short passing game. I’m not really a big McDaniels guy.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:14 PM
I mean not to make the tired “well what does MVP really MEANNNNNNN man?” argument but Denver is a legitimate Super Bowl contender with an elite quarterback now. In differences between last year and this year I think you can really make the argument easily that Manning has made as big of a difference as anyone.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:14 PM
I believe it’s a dead heat right now between Brady and Manning, based on merit. But Brady would need to annihilate Peyton statistically and team record wise to stand a chance against the Manning narrative.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:14 PM
Could obviously say the same for Luck but Manning has been better of course.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:14 PM
Hey, why isn’t Brees included in the MVP talk?
/ Proxy’d for Breesus
He’s got as much a shot as Shatty Ice.
This is between Manning and Peterson.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:15 PM
By that I mean, have Brady make more line calls, and take the play-calling out of the coaches’ hands at times. But again, I’ve seen three games this year, and one I was too busy laughing at the Jets to pay attention to offense/play-calling.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:16 PM
I think how Brady performs on Monday night against Watt, without Gronk and Julian will be a big deciding factor.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:16 PM
I know, I’m usually not such a Negative Nancy. It just hit me earlier in the year that Brady has 4-5 years left, max. Kind of sombering.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:17 PM
I think stressing “valuable” works in Brady’s favor actually. Denver is a lot better than the Pats defensively
December 7th, 2012 at 3:18 PM
I wish the internet would take a break from using “narrative” for a week
December 7th, 2012 at 3:19 PM
You think they throw away from Watt’s side every play, and put WR/hot route to the other side? I feel like hoodie can gameplan for that defense okay, with or without Joseph. And they can take a WR away, they just can’t cover 3 of them. I like the Pats in this game, esp following the BAL loss.
I’m not a fan of delays/draws, but anything to get Watt upfield from the play or away from Brady would be nice to see. Does Houston ever move him around?
December 7th, 2012 at 3:20 PM
Matt Cassell.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:21 PM
That’s optimistic, I think… the interesting thing will be when/whether they re-sign Mallet. If Brady plays till 40, Mallet will be itching to play and it would have taken an extension to keep him past UFA.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:21 PM
Tebow took them to the Divisional Round for Christ’s sake.
So the ‘valuable’ thing is a wash.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:22 PM
I think they are going to chip him a lot with Hernandez and Fells. I think Welker is going to stay on the other side though like you said. The Houston D has been a little more vunerable the last few weeks because of the injuries they’ve taken.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:22 PM
Missed the playoffs
December 7th, 2012 at 3:23 PM
Went 11-5 on a 14-15 win team. Had one really good showdown game (the Favire overtime game) and a few other stat complier games, but also was very mediocre in a lot of other ones in which the defense which was still formiddable kept them in it. The Cassell argument is complete garbarge.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:24 PM
This is true.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:24 PM
Dick Lebeau and Ike Taylor being asleep at the wheel got them to the Divisional Round.
People are going to be afraid to face Denver in the playoffs this year. That was not the case last year.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:24 PM
I think Hernandez is going to line up at WR a lot. Fells, Lloyd, Hernandez, Welker, rb base personnel, with a great deal of no huddle, as usual
December 7th, 2012 at 3:24 PM
So Brady is a slightly better system QB, big deal.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:25 PM
You forgot that historically easy schedule of AFC/NFC West that year. No one ever mentions that.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:26 PM
He always does. And then I can see him lining up there, and motioning into the backfield for help with pass rush, extra run blocking, or chip and release. Who knows what McDaniels will do though, his playcalling has been very schitzo this year.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:26 PM
Brady is obviously one of the most valuable players of the last fifteen years, all I’m saying is Denver just upgraded to someone many consider to be the best at the position to ever play from someone who can’t beat out the worst starting QB in the league for a job. That has to count for something.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:26 PM
Ladies and gentlemen, your president of the Tom Brady hating club, Cowboy Mike!!!!
December 7th, 2012 at 3:27 PM
This stuff is really all moot, when are we going to discuss Stephen Douglas’ love for terrorist music?
December 7th, 2012 at 3:28 PM
I mean more than usual, given the Edelman injury
December 7th, 2012 at 3:28 PM
I see you trollin’.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:28 PM
Agreed the Patriots are 2-2 against winning teams this year and lost to Arizona.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:29 PM
I’m not discounting at all what Manning is doing. I think he should be in the conversation for MVP. But I do think he also joined a team that has a great defense, and that plays in the worst division in football. Just trying to take everything into consideration.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM
Eh, Houston has a good D but they’re giving up a shitton of yards. The difference with the Pats is they do the best job of converting yards into points (high “scoreability“, if you buy into CHFF’s stats). So a Patriot win wouldn’t be surprising.
Bedard suggested they might go back to Oregon’s hurry-up run offense. All NE OL have been back at practice this week, so we’ll see.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM
Imagine if a Broncos super bowl run included playing the Colts, Pats, and Giants. The media would be coloring all over the place.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM
I don’t hate the Patriots or Brady. If I wanted to hate something that hadn’t won anything of consequence since 2004 I’d be upset at Evanescence’s Best New Artist award at the 46th Grammy Awards.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM
Cards started 4-0 and were formidable with Kolb

Yeah I know, I meant that in terms of it was a good team they failed to beat, didn’t word that well.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:33 PM
First team in NFL history to start 4-0 without gaining 300 yards of offense in a single game…formidable indeed
December 7th, 2012 at 3:33 PM
Jags, Packers, and Lions games were really their only bad performances. Two of which were recent, granted
December 7th, 2012 at 3:35 PM
They were 4-0, beat Seattle and the Pats. You play football within the context of your teams strengths. It’s a three phase game bro
December 7th, 2012 at 3:35 PM
With that pass defense they didn’t need to produce a ton of offense to win.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:35 PM
Don’t remind me. Now that the Cards are going to end up 4-12, they won’t even get a top 5 draft pick.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:36 PM
Fun fact about Arizona: They rank in the top ten in basically every defensive category, and they rank in the bottom 5 in basically every offensive category.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:37 PM
No, but those wins weren’t indicitive of them being a good team which more games played has shown…even if Kolb remained healthy that was a 7-9 team at best
December 7th, 2012 at 3:38 PM
Very impressive considering how badly their offense exposes them. Their defensive personnel is fantastic
December 7th, 2012 at 3:38 PM
I’m just saying it’s okay to say the Pats lost to a team that’s not very good…pretty much every contending NFL team gets one of those a season, hell the Packers lost to the Colts
December 7th, 2012 at 3:39 PM
Bizzaro Patriots, SKELTON FOR MVP!
December 7th, 2012 at 3:40 PM
Disagree. Their qb play has been historically bad. Lindley is quite possibly the worst qb in NFL history. If not, he is definitely in the mix
December 7th, 2012 at 3:40 PM
/fixed
December 7th, 2012 at 3:41 PM
Was that the same year the 11-5 Pats missed the playoffs?
December 7th, 2012 at 3:41 PM
but the Colts are good…
December 7th, 2012 at 3:41 PM
They had a difficult schedule, but with decent QB play, they win 9 games this year.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:42 PM
Ahem … JaCarcass Russell.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:42 PM
If it’s Bizzaro Patriots, shouldn’t it be like Darnell Dockett, or someother defensive player?
December 7th, 2012 at 3:43 PM
That defense is awful, no way.

December 7th, 2012 at 3:43 PM
sorry Nada, JaLardass would be an upgrade over Lindley.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:44 PM
Honestly I think moleman is blitzed right now
December 7th, 2012 at 3:45 PM
I WANT MY PIGSPLOSION AND I WANT IT NOW!!!
December 7th, 2012 at 3:46 PM
Not anymoreso than usual. I think he’s more bored, hence the engaging.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:46 PM
You poor, poor Cardinals fans.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:48 PM
Yeah, did Pigsplosion die or something? We dont need more college football coaches posts.
December 7th, 2012 at 3:57 PM
This seems like somewhat of a glass house for a Patriots fan. San Diego is awful and I would still take them head up over every other team in the AFC East.
December 7th, 2012 at 4:01 PM
AFC east is by no means good, but it’s a hell of a lot better than the AFC west, which has 2 of the 5 worst teams in football. Bills, Fins, Jets combined record is 15-21, which includes 0-5 v Pats
December 7th, 2012 at 4:07 PM
I stand by the point. Splitting hairs on degrees of suckitude.
December 7th, 2012 at 4:34 PM
You’d lay money on San Diego over Miami? Really?
