Late to this, but thanks for all the good info you guys. I really like Bogaerts, almost man-crush levels. Did not know those walk numbers though. I really don’t understand Victirino at this point but liked the Napoli signing for short term. It really can’t get worse than last year..can it?

Really looking forward to watching Maples on MiLB.tv this year.

If Bogaerts continues to adjust to the pitching in AA (he’s always been able to adjust to pitching/breaking balls with some practice) I might glue myself to SeaDogs/PawSox games. Dude has some serious opposite field power. He has the power/bat speed to sit back on a curve/slider, and if he gets crossed up with a FB, instead of a single to right, can pop it over the left-center wall.

The Cubs new brass has done exactly what they were brought in to do- reinvigorate the system with high-ceiling talent. Will Baez, Almora, and Soler pan out? Who knows. But I love the direction of the team. Now the team drafts pitching, pitching, and more pitching in June. Preferably Mark Appel in the rd 1.

Salty, Ells, Middlebrooks, Iglesias, and really even Kalish… Sox may have 4/5 starters struggling to crack a 5% walk rate and three of those really may not get there.

BP has their top 10 prospects up but requires a subscription. John Sickels did the top 20 the other day. I was surprised at how high he was on the whole system. Never seen someone as high on Vogelbach as he is.Really looking forward to watching Maples on MiLB.tv this year.

HtH I’m with except one thing. Middlebrooks, to me, has shown a surprising ability to adjust. I expected a slump from being rushed, but he worked his way out of them pretty well. I went from hating him being in the majors so early, to sort of buying his intelligence/work ethic as a hitter. He may improve as time goes on.

I like the direction the Astros are going in, but it’s going to take a while. Can’t wait to see how dismal attendance is this year.

Houston is a shitty baseball town anyway, so attendance doesn’t bother me. As soon as they start winning again fans will return just like they did 1996-2000, when we were always in playoff contention (well maybe not so much 2000).
