Aside from the fact that it’s terrible? It’s fine in theory, but the only teams that want to play at ridiculous hours are small conference teams that need exposure. The games are unwatchable and no one cares about Rider at 10 AM.

Next time? Battleships. 4 of them, inside the Jerry Dome, all firing at each other while 4 basketball games apiece are played on each ship.

That sounds like a better idea. I can’t imagine watching CBB when there is football on regardless of who is playing. I haven’t watched CBB before February for the last few years, but I could see myself watching at least part of those games if there’s nothing else on.

Exams do cause a problem for most schools so there’s no way to play a ton of games until after Christmans, but this Saturday provides an amazing opportunity for college basketball to get eyeballs.

Saturday is the time to play a ton of marquee games all day to create buzz. It could be like bracket busters, but for top 25 schools. In late November create 10 matchups to play the first Saturday after college football ends. Teams can leave a hole in their schedule to play it. It’s early enough in the season to be able to recover from a loss. 24 of the 25 top 25 teams play this weekend so exams don’t seem to be an issue. Play quadruple headers at neutral sites. Play them on campus. Whatever. How great would a saturday be of

Louisville- Florida
Michigan – Duke
Kansas -Arizona

Pretty inaccurate. Sure, the big schools play some cupcakes, but there are a TON of quality non-conference matchups in November and December. There are many more interesting non-conference basketball games then there are football games. So, yeah, you are pretty much wrong.

Football has three to four non-conf gms. They also don’t allow 68 teams to contend for the national title. Way to totally ignore ocntext
