Well–if I recall right, in real life the Masseria character (whose name was not, I don’t think, Masseria? Maybe wrong) was actually killed by order of Luciano and Meyer Lansky. Their move on the old school guys, the Moustache Petes.

So I’m guessing that Nucky, Lucky and Meyer are going to find some common ground next season.

Also: the real-life Meyer Lansky is fucking fascinating. When he died he claimed to be almost broke, and a lot of people (his biographer, some law enforcement) bought it…but FBI suspicion was that he had transferred vast $$$ to his underlings over the years–they were human financial mules. Always smarter than the guys chasing him.

At Maryland she gave herself an incentive-laden contract that incentivized “Directors Cup” standings, that led to her funding a ton of secondary sports to absurd levels in an attempt to get more Directors Cup points. There’s also the fact that she used up all of the money for the Comcast Center 20-year naming rights within a year or two on complete bullshit.
