Agreed. I live in Nashville, so I can’t avoid UT if I tried. I guess I was implying that UT football might be losing importance nationally. Not trying to take a shot of the school. If they landed Gruden, they become rockstars again. Now they may get a coach like Fedora who will have been at 3 schools in 3 years.

I don’t think botched is the right word for this. UT keeps getting associated with coaches that don’t jump at the chance to come to the school(Gruden, Gundy, Strong, Franklin, Mora Jr). Regardless of how aggressive they actually were with these names, the school keeps getting associated with rejection.

I think it lowers the perceived importance of UT football.
