Really is nice to have the Redskins relevant in the NFL landscape again. Not to mention, to finally have an MNF game worth watching. If ESPN is going to shove the NFC East down our collective throats, I’d much prefer watching the Giants and ‘Skins play anyone over the Cowboys and Eagles.

I would point out that as abysmal as the Skins have been over the last few seasons (compiling an overall record over the last 3 seasons, including this year, of 17-30 or 0.362 win %), the Skins have always played NFC East opponents tough — they’ve never been an easy out. Washington swept the Gints last year and would have this year if not for the 77yd TD pass to V.Cruz late in the 4th. Over the last 3 years the Skins are 7-9 vs. NFC East opponents (including an OT loss the Dallas last year), clearly a better mark than their overall record would indicate.
