Gun control is possibly the dumbest ongoing “debate” in American society. It’s a constitutional right. There really is no point in debating it. It is one of the few issues about which I can say, if don’t like a gun culture, move elsewhere because America is and always will be a gun culture.
If people want to debate the nuances of the law, and what type of guns should be legal, that’s a legitimate debate. But the no guns stance is patently ridiculous. What else do these clowns oppose? Free speech? Religious freedom? Freedom of the press? Those rights are all on the same level.

guns aint goin away so id rather have licensed individuals owning guns and severe penalties on those found with unregistered firearms A LOT more than the only people having guns being those who purchased them illegally.

I’m fine with responsible gun ownership. The funny thing is where the over the top “avid” gun collectors get all “the gubmint ain’t getting my guns.” Uh, they got tanks and nukes, dude. I think that in reality, probably 95% of people are cowards, and as soon as they hear the sound of a shell getting chambered they are out of there before the turd hits the floor.

It actually sounds like we are in agreement with the underlying facts, but reach the opposite conclusion. I’m worried about the 5% who don’t give a shit. Sure, 95% or even 99% of the time people turn tail and run, but it they don’t, i’d rather my wife have the ability to immediately fire (shotgun’s loaded, just needs safety off and pumped) than loading and the issues that come with that 9especiailly since she doesn’t practice). It’s truly “better safe than sorry” for me.

She needs to have it loaded. My wife argued that to me and I told her whenever you pull a gun, you have to be prepared to use it. There are people in this world that are crazy/stupid. pumping a shotgun/cocking a pistol don’t mean nothing to them if they don’t think you’ll use it.

Just read where belcher stayed with another woman Friday night, and in fact, left her place at 6:30 and before that he was asleep in his Bentley near this other woman’s apt when cops woke him at 2:30. He then went to that woman’s apt before leaving for home and killing his girlfriend.
