Fantasy Football, Week 14 Starter Rankings and Waiver Wire: Look to Bilal Powell and the Colts Receivers For Help
This week’s fantasy post will go ahead and get some starter rankings and the waiver wire put together. There are no big waiver wire claims (yet), and with the playoffs arriving in most league, you may be limited in your transactions. So what I’ve done here is list my starting order at each position. I’ve then bolded those who are owned in between 40% and 70% and may be available, and bolded and italicized those owned in less than 40% of leagues entering this week.
If you are in dire straits at the running back position, your best bet might be to take a chance on Bilal Powell. He got a decent number of touches behind Shonn Greene last week, and the Jaguars are giving up 165 yards from scrimmage and over a touchdown a game to opposing backs. I expect the Jets to rely on their running game and defense in this one, so he might squeeze a touchdown and 60+ yards for you.

I realize the answer to this question is obvious if I just look at the list. But I’m going to ask anyway. I have Alfred Morris, Greene, D. Murray, and Spiller. I can start three of them. You really think Spiller is the one who should be left off? Just seems like he has a higher upside than Greene in particular.

Obviously not Lisk, but if you’re in a PPR league I would start Spiller. Other than that I would think it would depend on whether you need high upside to offset any deficiencies you have at other positions. In other words, if you think you need a homerun Spiller has a much better chance to do that Greene or Murray.

Thanks. Not PPR. I’m in pretty good shape otherwise so I don’t really need high upside. Just thinking about it makes me think about week 1 when Spiller went nuts and I had him on the bench. Guess I will just keep thinking about it.

Very glad I secured the bye in my big money league…needed it with Jordy Nelson hurting and losing Broyles this past week. Might have to go to war with Jacquizz Rodgers as my flex in week 15.

It has to be so frustrating having Spiller and watch the Bills give Jackson more touches. Spiller is so much more explosive.

Very thankful I earned a bye for week 1 of the playoffs.
Blew my blind bid load on Moreno and Kaepernick as depth options during the playoffs. Also wanted to keep them off of other rosters. I like Bryce Brown but was afraid he’d fall back into the CoP option with Shady.
