My concern going into the season was that Lloyd had trouble getting open on his own and needed to be ‘thrown’ open, or just given a chance to make a play. My guess is Brady isn’t quite comfortable with that yet. They’ve drafted a few guys who could have been a downfield threat, but cut them to sign old washed up WRs or just failed in evaluating talent.

Yeah I guess I shouldn’t have said the Patriots’ success considering they’ve not had success in the better part of a decade huh.

Years of horrible drafting aside he did make the Colts and Patriots success possible by pushing the Competition Committee into ruining the rules in favor of passing teams.

Considering the rules were put in specifically to hurt the Patriots (defensive gameplan against the Colts’ WRs) it’s a bit ironic the the rules have let the Patriots have a wide-open passing game.
