Alabama Survived Late Georgia Drive, Won SEC Championship, Will Play Notre Dame in BCS Title Game
Soo…close. Georgia drove inside the Alabama 10, opted not to clock it with 15 seconds remaining and had a tipped ball caught in bounds short of the end zone. The Crimson Tide survived with a 32-28 win and will play Notre Dame for the BCS Title. What an incredible game.
It had the intensity of last year’s Alabama vs. LSU meetings, but things happened. More than 900 yards of total offense. Giving a joint game ball to Lacy, Yeldon and the Bama offensive line who combined for 334 yards and three touchdowns on 45 carries.
Guessing this clear hold on the McCarron to Cooper touchdown will be a message board talking point…

Does the hype machine run on diesel or ethanol?

Great game, momentum swung in each team’s favor several times throughout the game. That was NOT a pick at the end by Milner, good call and Bama was able to keep UGA out of the endzone for a classic finish. Hats off to the Dawgs, they came to play. Bama’s DEF is a little over-rated and the OFF has got to get back to running the ball to setup the pass. They seem to have gone away from that in the last 3-4 games.
How the hell is TEX still no. 18???? Laying the 11 pts tonite with Klein the Wildats.

They’re 8-3, and ranked behind two other teams with 3 losses (only 3 loss team they’re ahead of is Northwestern).

350 yards rushing? Verne and Gary somehow stuck with the ridiculous “10 guys on UGA’s defense are NFL players” notion the entire game.

What was with their reluctance to do this? They wasted about 15 seconds over the course of the drive by not spiking the damn thing

I think they figured they had the Alabama D on the ropes, but yeah, you gotta clock it there. What a heartbreaking ending. Vikings-esque
