Morgan State Head Coach Accidentally Received an E-Mail Outlining How to Replace Him
Donald Hill-Eley, the Morgan State football coach, believes he might be out of a job because of an e-mail he received, according to the Baltimore Sun. Athletic director Floyd Kerr accidentally forwarded an e-mail to Hill-Eley which outlined a schedule for hiring a new coach. Kerr has apologized for the mistake, but provided no clarification on Hill-Eley’s job status. Hill-Eley has been the head coach at Morgan State for 11 years, compiling a 54-69 record.
“I don’t know what’s going on,” Hill-Eley said when reached today on his cell phone. A university spokesman said he had no immediate comment about Hill-Eley’s status.
Whoops.

“I don’t know what’s going on”
Maybe he should be fired. He got an email explaining how to hire his replacement. He should know what is going on by now.

Good thing those people in Alabama don’t have the Intrawebs, or Tommy Tuberville would have received a similar email a couple years back.

A few years ago, my boss got a letter from a headhunter promoting the skills of someone who was still employed with us. So basically this headhunter sent out the resume and cover letter to his client’s current employer, who didn’t know he was looking for a job.

This actually happened to me, sort of, several years back. I was working some absolutely dreadful temp job when some temp agency dude called me late in the day talking about where I wanted to go next. Me: “Uh, I’m not staying here?” Him: “Oh, um, they were supposed to have you pack your things today…” Temp agency dude actually asked me if I wouldn’t tell my supervisor about him calling me prematurely. Numbskull.

It’s too bad Penn State’s record doesn’t have them theoretically in the BCS hunt (theoretical because of their NCAA sanctions) because that would be a conflagration worthy of Jason’s Ole Miss post near meltdown.

Reminds me of the old days with the commenting fights. Say one thing slightly derogatory about the SEC and hell arrives.

small world. this sounds like a guy married to a good friend of my wife’s. alcoholic and dumb. while he was making good coin, as a recruiter, he was putting together a business plan for a company he was going to start when he left his job. problem: the business plan was on his work computer
