British Olympic Gold Medalist Greg Rutherford Takes Kids Lunch Money, Tells Them to Give Up on Dreams
Greg Rutherford won the gold medal in the long jump at the London Olympics. Rutherford was the second British man in history to win the gold in the long jump and he did it in his home country, so he has earned the right to do what he wants. Apparently, that includes tricking kids into a jumping contest for all their lunch money. Then, this amazing exchange:
Kid: “So do I have a career in long jump?”
Rutherford: “No. I mean, at the end of the day you think about how I am one in a hundred million. I don’t think you’re one in a hundred million. So if I was you, I’d give up on the dream right now.”
Greg Rutherford is awesome.

It[s pretty high up there too (#3)…it was obviously a hot button issue. I know there are some Constitution buffs here…but the provision was only during peacetime, correct? Since we are at war…can some bloke just pop a squat?

i feel like the redcoat-quartering thing expands into property rights and protection from illegal search and seizures.

The Constitution: archaic or merely outdated?

Definitely needs some updating.

So Miz… how many days a week do you find yourself at Home Depot on the way home from work?
November 27th, 2012 at 2:14 PM
funny you should ask that…I just got off the phone with them. they’ve fucked up our carpet measurement TWICE now and are sending someone out again. if they weren’t already meeting my demands for discounts, I’d be switching to Lowes in a Dantonio heartbeat.
November 27th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
I’m generally team Home Depot, but got a good deal at Lowe’s and used them for carpet. No complaints, and got a cheap upgrade to the really nice padding (well worth it).
